Bethenny Frankel slams Kamala Harris ‘hobnobbing with celebrities’ after Donald Trump’s election victory

Bethenny Frankel has broken her silence on Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election and criticized Kamala Harris for “associating with celebrities” during her campaign.

Defeated Democratic candidate Harris, who has yet to deliver her concession speech, was notably endorsed by celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Julia Roberts, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Lady Gaga.

Frankel β€” who has not publicly said who she was supporting β€” took to social media hours after Trump’s victory to berate voters for “not giving each other an opinion,” while calling out Harris for “aligning himself with celebrities.”

She said: ‘This was the most divisive election I can remember in my life, the stakes felt so high on both sides, people couldn’t have an opinion.

‘That’s been the case for a while, but it felt more crystallized here: you couldn’t have an opinion, no matter who you voted for. You can’t say that neither candidate did something you didn’t like… something that wasn’t good business practice.

‘Or something that shows bad taste, you just couldn’t do that

She added, β€œI really didn’t think it was a good idea to hook up with celebrities. I don’t think the American public, by and large, cares about who hangs out with celebrities; it’s the forbidden fruit, it’s tempting, it’s there, it’s the shiny object.

‘I don’t think it’s a working model, I’m allowed to have that opinion.

β€œI thought there were faults on both sides, but when I voiced an opinion regardless of who I voted for, I was attacked from both sides, attacking each other and fighting in the comments.

The RHONY star urged her fans to accept the outcome of the election, saying, β€œWe live in a democracy and the people have spoken, the decision has been made.

‘The country must come together.’

Trump was endorsed by famous faces including Kid Rock, Joe Rogan and Brittany Mahomes.

Harris was memorably seen catching up with Perry at an election rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday.

Harris got an extra dose of star power when Perry – who posted a video of the encounter to her TikTok account – was joined by her fiancΓ© Orlando Bloom, 47.

Trump also secured the lion's share of the vote, securing 51 percent and Harris 47.5 percent as of Wednesday morning, with the most votes in the country being counted.

Harris, who looked dapper in a black suit with wide lapels and a matching sweater, looked absolutely stunned when she saw Perry approaching her backstage at the voting event.

Tuesday’s rally featured a star-studded line-up in support of Harris, with Perry and fellow superstar Lady Gaga performing a selection of their hits and supporting the vice president before Americans headed to the polls.

Katy roared onto the 2024 campaign scene to rally support for Harris at the event near Pittsburgh, where she performed after Harris left the stage after delivering her own stump speech.

The hitmaker started by singing ‘Dark Horse’ and then declared ‘my body, my choice’ before singing Part of Me.

Katy revealed that motherhood is her reason for voting for Harris four years ago, saying, “Orlando and I welcomed our daughter Daisy, and she is the reason I’m voting for Kamala Harris.”

Katy said she has known Harris since before she was even a senator and that the vice president has always fought for the most vulnerable and will protect women’s rights.

If that lead holds, it would be the first time in two decades that a Republican has won the popular vote since George Bush’s victory in 2004, marking a peak of Republican enthusiasm not seen by the party in decades.

Yet the Democratic candidate has not commented on the outcome of the presidential election, which was labeled a victory for Trump by the Associated Press around 5:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning.
