Bethenny Frankel says Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann spent way more than they could afford to

Bethenny Frankel doesn’t mince words when it comes to Kim Zolciak and husband Kroy Biermann’s divorce, concluding that the couple’s financial irresponsibility was factored into their parting.

“It’s always been people who seem to spend more than they have,” Frankel, 52, said of the estranged couple in a clip she posted to TikTok Monday after news broke that Zolciak, 44, had filed for divorce from Biermann, 37, after 11 years of marriage.

The parting announcement came amid reports that the couple had a tax debt of more than $1,000,000, TMZ reported, citing court documents.

Frankel was critical of the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star and Atlanta Falcons alum for living an overpriced lifestyle, captioning the clip, “Pay your bills.” Front & stunt not. All show & no go’, with the hashtag #payyourbills.

The Skinnygirl mogul said the couple did not adjust their spending despite losing income over the years.

“He’s on a football salary, she’s on a housewife’s salary, and they’re spending money like fucking planes going down,” she said. “And the thing is, you can’t spend more than you earn.”

Frankel said Zolciak has fallen into the trap many other Bravo alumni have fallen into, spending too much money to keep up appearances.

“It’s the old Housewives model of getting on the show, not making money — spend, spend, logo, logo, car, car, house, house, bankruptcy, foreclosure — because you can’t go on writing checks that you can’t collect — and it’s gross,” she said.

Frankel, who is mother to daughter Bryn, 13, said Zolciak and Biermann’s troubles are symbolic of a national economic crisis.

“It’s like, what’s wrong with America?” she said. “When the whole real estate bubble collapsed, it was because people just financed their homes and the whole thing imploded.

And I heard that Kim and Kroy each owe a million dollars, and it’s like, “Fine – pay the IRS!”

She continued, “You gotta fucking pay — you want to play, you gotta fucking pay.”

She said Zolciak and Biermann — in a “recipe for disaster” — flaunt their lavish lifestyles to the public.

“These couples that include everyone in every detail like they’re perfect…everyone gets humble really fast.”

She said of Zolciak and Biermann, “So these two [were like] “We’re so perfect and we’re so in love, and we’ve got all this money and we’re spending,” and the diamonds and this and the filters and the kids and everything.”

Frankel said the pair should expect to face heavy scrutiny “when the s*** goes sideways” amid the parting and revelation of financial troubles.

“You invited us in when things were going well and it looked like a fairy tale – or you made us believe it was – well, guess what?” We’re going out with you too,’ she said. “So right now no one is going to respect your privacy, because there’s no privacy right now.”

Frankel admitted that it’s a matter of passion for her, as she “gets especially excited when people spend what they don’t have” because it “bums up the whole system.”

Frankel said she lived frugally until she had the means to maintain a luxurious lifestyle.

“Like I never spent a dime, I was terrified,” she said. ‘I was on the cover of Forbes and called my manager to ask if I could buy a handbag for the first time. I used to be terrified because you don’t spend money you don’t fucking have.

She added: ‘My apartment is furnished by IKEA. When I was on the Housewives of New York I didn’t have it, so I didn’t pretend to have it.

“F***ing hates all show and no go,” she said. “I hate fronting and stunting – pay your fucking bills, that’s all I have to say, pay your fucking bills.”

The Don’t Be Tardy star said she and the former Atlanta Falcons defender — who are the parents of Kroy Jagger, 11, Kash, 10, and twins Kane and Kaia, nine — split on April 30, reported TMZ after reviewing court documents.

Biermann adopted Zolciak’s older children from previous relationships — Brielle, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21 — when they were minors in the couple’s earlier years.
