Bethenny Frankel reveals ‘magic’ hack for reviving stale, hard bagels to make them perfectly fluffy and soft
Bethenny Frankel is baffled after trying a hack to breathe new life into old bagels – the delicious-looking results of which she called “enchanting.”
The New York City OG Real Housewife, 52, looked determined as she pulled out a plastic bag of whole wheat bagels at the top of a three-minute TikTok post this week.
“I almost feel like an epic bagel,” she declared, before admitting she’d made the “novice mistake” of keeping the batch in her fridge, which had left them “too dense and hard.”
But, she continued, she’d heard of a way to reverse the condition: “Rinse it off and put it in the oven or air fryer.”

But the OG Real Housewife had a hack up her sleeve, which started with soaking the stale bagel in her kitchen faucet
After sprinkling the soggy bagel with copious amounts of all the spices to replace what was washed down, Bethenny put it in an air fryer.
After removing the bagel from the airfryer, Bethenny reacted in surprise, “Okay, that worked magic… It’s a different bagel!”
She then covered both open sides of the bagel with cucumber and cherry tomato slices
Bethenny yelled a “Mmmhmm!” as she bit into the finished bagel
While holding the bagel in a stream of water from her kitchen faucet, Bethenny complained, “It makes me sad because that means I have to wash off some of all those herbs.”
Fans needn’t worry about Bethenny’s taste buds though; Once she finished saturating the bagel, she replaced the lost seasoning with whatever she had on hand in a spice jar—and then some.

Bethenny then transferred the soaked spice-laden bagel to a piece of aluminum foil and placed it in an air fryer set to 400°F for just under five minutes.
When she took it out, she was surprised.
“Okay, that worked magic… It’s a different bagel!” she exclaimed.
“Wow, that’s a brilliant hack, guys. I’m fascinated… I can’t believe this.’
The diet guru proceeded to scoop out some of the bread from the bagel before slathering it in her go-to spread of whipped cottage cheese.

She then carefully placed cucumber and cherry tomato slices over both open sides of the bagel – also sprinkled with lemon pepper and Bowlcut’s Spicy Chili Crisp chili flakes.
Bethenny then let out a “Mmmhmm, smoky!” as she bit into the creation of a reanimated bagel.
