Bethenny Frankel is slammed for saying the Hamptons are ‘not only for rich people but also minorities’ in new TikTok

Bethenny Frankel found herself in hot water again after posting a TikTok about the residents of the Hamptons.

The 53-year-old former Real Housewives of New York star took to social media on Thursday to share her thoughts on the popular Long Island, New York, beach resort, saying the community isn’t just for “rich people” but also for minorities.

“Hamptons is a great place, there’s all kinds of people here, not just rich people,” the Skinny Girl mogul began. “There’s a big Hispanic community, there’s an African-American community here on the beach. Beautiful houses. I had a house there once in the summer.”

Followers immediately condemned the racist comments, with The View co-host Ana Navarro leading the way.

“News flash: White people aren’t the only ones who can have money. There are rich black people and rich ‘Latins,'” Navarro posted.

One fan wrote: ‘I guess us Asians and South Asians don’t get rich in the Hamptons. Meanwhile, we make the most money in the country, but what do I know?’

Another added: ‘This woman has been perpetuating her white privilege for YEARS. That’s nothing new, that’s just who she is.’

And another chimed in, simply saying, “Bethenny really needs to put her phone down for a while. She needs to stop.”

The backlash came just two weeks after the reality star was criticized for buying a luxury car to match her dress.

She was standing in front of a new blue Ford Bronco wearing a blue maxi dress. In the photos she posted on Instagram she wrote: ‘When you buy a car that matches your outfit…’

“People can’t even afford groceries right now and you post this?” one fan asked.

Another wrote: ‘So you’re so deaf to tone? Do you really have to show off your new car in the Hamptons?’

“Wow. That’s so relatable,” added one sarcastic commenter.

In September 2023, Bethenny also faced criticism for giving away “leftover makeup” to TJ Maxx employees, whom she filmed in a TikTok video.

She was labeled “out of touch with reality” by one social media user, while another Bravo star, Carole Radziwillcalled the action ‘the white savior complex.’

In the clip, the TV personality explains that “the women who work here are so nice and always compliment me on what we buy…”

“So I wanted to give them some leftover makeup that I had just tried on, opened, and put in a pile to give away,” Bethenny said, then insisted that “it was all brand new.”

After quickly browsing through some designer items in the store, she cut the clip to reveal bags full of makeup products.

The reality star explained that the makeup products in the bags are “all things that have been opened once and never used again. But they’re good and expensive.”

However, the employee was concerned about accepting the makeup, indicating there was a chance he could “get into trouble” because he “couldn’t accept tips or gifts.”

Social media users responded en masse to the video by sharing their reactions in the comments section. One of them wrote: ‘Why are you filming her? She looks scared. Is this to impress?’

Former Real Housewives Of New York City employee Carole Radziwill lashed out at Bethenny over X and reposted the same clip.

Bethenny and Carole once shared a strong bond on the Bravo series, but their friendship fell apart during the show’s tenth season.

“Who sent me this? Lol. I mean stop with the bullshit. There’s so much to unpack but I’m no longer getting paid for it. But here goes… one “word”: #whitesaviorcomplex,” Radziwill wrote.
