An aged care worker has been fired after being accused of assaulting the 95-year-old woman in his care.
The 33-year-old man from Cannington, south Perth, was charged with aggravated assault, WA Police confirmed on Thursday.
Police will allege the man, who was employed by the care home at the time of the incident in January, assaulted a 95-year-old female resident in his care by stamping her feet ‘several times’.
The alleged incident took place at the Bethanie Aged Care facility in Como, the Western Australian reported.

Bethanie interim chief executive Roule Jones said the staff member was immediately dismissed as soon as the branch was made aware of the disturbing allegations.
‘Bethanie is aware of unacceptable behavior towards residents. The individual was immediately dismissed and their employment ultimately terminated,” Ms Jones said.
“An internal investigation was immediately launched and we are also working with WA Police as they conduct a full investigation.
“Bethanie has apologized to our residents and their families and deeply regrets that this has happened.”
