Best XM4 Gear, Class Build in the Black Ops 6 Beta
The best XM4 gear is probably the first weapon you take with you in the Black Ops 6 beta, because like almost every Call of Duty game, the do-it-all assault rifle is one of the first — and best — you unlock.
While only a fraction of what’s in the full game is available, there are plenty of attachments to choose from as you level up the XM4. You’ll want to play to the XM4’s strengths – being able to decimate from a distance while also holding its own at close range – so the attachments and class we’ve chosen will play to that.
Here is the best XM4 gear in the Black Ops 6 beta, along with the best class to use alongside it.
Best XM4 Gear in Black Ops 6
Before we get started, the beta is only available for a limited time. As a result, we didn’t choose any attachments that require you to level the weapon all the way up (for the XM4, that’s level 46). That’s not entirely feasible in the beta, and we want to make sure the build is accessible to everyone.
This is the best XM4 gear in the Black Ops 6 beta:
- Optics: PrismaTech reflex
- Walk: Long barrel
- Underflow: Vertical front handle
- Rear grip: Quick pull handle
- Stock: Light stock
For starters, the XM4 has a fairly restrictive sight, so using an optical mount is a must. The very first one you unlock, the PrismaTech reflexis more than capable of solving that problem. Alternatively, if you’re using one of the other weapons available in the beta, the Volzhskiy Reflex is a solid choice, but requires you to level up the AK-74 to five first.
At first the Gain-Twist Barrel attachment will do the job, but once you get the hang of it Long barrel At level 21 you will want to equip it. This helps a lot in long range combat, as the damage range is greatly improved. Along the same lines, the Vertical front handle helps you stay on track, but at level 20 you might want to opt for the Precision Foregrip.
All the accessories included so far are geared towards long-range combat. To make sure you can compete up close, you’ll want to opt for the Quick pull handle which increases your ADS (aim down sight) speed. The Ergonomic Grip is arguably better, but at level 39 there’s a good chance you won’t unlock it during the beta window.
Finally, we have the Light stock. This is the only mount where you can opt for something else – probably the Heavy Stock – depending on whether you want more help up close or at range. The Light Stock means your hip fire and punishing movement speeds are improved, which can be huge if you’re caught off guard up close, but if you struggle to land shots at range due to flinching, opt for the Heavy Stock instead.
Best XM4 class in Black Ops 6
This is the best XM4 class to use in the Black Ops 6 beta:
- Secondary: GS45
- Melee: Knife
- Tactical: Concussion
- Deadly: Frag
- Field Upgrade: Trophy system
- Advantage 1: Ghost
- Advantage 2: Tracker
- Advantage 3: Vigilance
- Specialty: Limit greed
- Perk Greed: Bulletproof jacket
Options are limited in the beta, so this is a pretty standard class with a pistol, stun, and frag grenade as your other lethal options. Trophy system is the best choice for your field upgrade as it will stop all incoming throws and when you are positioned at range they are one of the main ways you can get taken out.
The perks are the most interesting part of this class, because we use the specialty system. If you equip three perks of the same color, you get a bonus perk. In this case, Ghost, EngineerAnd Vigilance are all blue perks, so we get the Recon specialty, which gives you x-ray vision for a few moments after respawning, allowing you to see the outline of enemies. You get a HUD (heads-up display) flash when an enemy is just out of your line of sight, and you don’t leave skulls behind when you kill enemies.
Ghost makes you invisible to enemy radars and UAVs while moving or interacting. Engineer lets you see enemy equipment and scorestreaks through walls. Vigilance lets you see a HUD icon when you appear on an enemy minimap. And This makes you immune to Counter UAVs, Scrambler, and Sleeper Agent (although the latter two do not appear to be in the beta).
Finally, we have the Wildcard. Your two options in the beta are Overkill, which lets you carry a second primary weapon, or Limit greedwhich offers an additional perk choice. We chose the latter because the XM4 is so well suited for all types of engagement, and the perk we chose is Bulletproof jacketto protect you from explosive damage when you don’t have a Trophy System.
