Besiktas president ‘open to bringing Dele Alli BACK to the club for another season’
The Besiktas president is open to bringing Dele Alli back for another season if he leaves Everton on a free transfer this summer, despite his disastrous loan spell in Turkey and controversy over hippie crack
Besiktas chairman Ahmet Nur Cebi is considering giving Dele Alli another chance by bringing him back to the club this summer.
Alli moved to the Turkish side on loan from Everton at the start of the season, but struggled heavily as he made just 17 appearances before his campaign ended prematurely due to a hip muscle injury.
The attacking midfielder went through some lows during the season as he was booed by his own fans in December, before being banned from the first team by manager Senol Gunes shortly before suffering his injury.
He has now moved back to the UK and underwent surgery, but Cebi has left the door ajar for Alli to make a shocking return to Besiktas.
Cebi has claimed he would be willing to sign Alli permanently if he leaves ‘Everton for free’ at the end of the season, and Besiktas can then agree a suitable salary for the 27-year-old.

Alli has just over a year left on his Goodison Park contract, and Toffees boss Sean Dyche has urged the 37-cap international to ‘make good choices’ as he recovers from injury and his next career move considering.
Dyche’s comments come from the back of Alli who was pictured earlier this month surrounded by giant bottles of nitrous oxide, otherwise known as “hippy crack,” with a balloon in his mouth.
The photos sparked concern in the football community, with former Arsenal star Ray Parlor urging Alli to ‘look at himself’ to get his career back on track.
Jamie O’Hara also called on Alli to somehow find a way out of his predicament after admitting seeing him with nitrous oxide canisters and setting off alarm bells.
But despite Alli’s struggles on and off the pitch, he may get another chance to prove himself at a European club next season, with Besiktas currently third in Turkey’s top flight.
A return to the club would be staggering considering he has failed to live up to expectations this year.
Gunes criticized Alli on a number of occasions during the season, and Alli barely endeared himself to the club’s supporters by silencing them after scoring a goal in January.
That attack came in a rare positive display when he was awarded the man of the match award, but that turned out to be as good as it gets for Alli at Besiktas, and it seems unlikely that fans would be particularly keen to see him back at the club for the 2023 campaign -24.
