Besiktas are pushing to sign Everton’s Dele Alli on a either a loan or permanent transfer, according to reports.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees in January but seems to be heading for the exit door already, keen to carve out regular play-time at a new club.

Aware that he may not feature in Frank Lampard’s immediate plans at Goodison Park, the Everton chiefs are reportedly granting Alli the decision as to whether he ultimately stays or goes.

Turkish reports claim that the former England international is set for a season-long loan to Besiktas, but a permanent transfer is also on the table according to Fabrizio Romano

Regardless, it is believed that the loan move would include a option to buy Alli permanently at the end of the season.

Alli fell down the pecking order at Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 and joined Everton eight months ago in the hope of reviving his career.

The Toffees star has played a total of 38 minutes during the first two Premier League matches

However, although the Toffees were entrenched in a relegation scrap, Alli struggled for minutes on the pitch and made just two Premier League starts since January, as Lampard put faith in his tried and tested players.

The attacking midfielder has managed a total of 38 minutes in Everton’s two matches so far this campaign, suggesting Alli would likely reprise his role on the bench were he to stick around at Goodison Park this season.
