Berowra Heights: Shock as son, 38, is charged with the murder of his father, 69, at home in affluent Sydney suburb
A man has been charged with murder following a domestic violence incident in northern Sydney.
Emergency services were called to a home on Kita Road, Berowra Heights around 4:20pm on Thursday and found a man inside with life-threatening injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the 69-year-old died at the scene.
A 38-year-old was arrested at the property a short time later and taken to Hornsby Police Station.

He was charged with murder and denied bail to appear in Hornsby local court on Friday.
It is clear that the 38-year-old is the son of the deceased and that the incident took place in the family home while the deceased’s wife was at work.
Local resident George Jankowski said the murdered man was “a pretty quiet guy who kept his cool.”

“It was a shock, it was unexpected, especially here, it’s a quiet place,” he told the newspaper Daily telegram.
“Just hearing a truck go down the street is a big drama, so when something like that happens it’s a big shock,” he said.
