Benji Gregory dead at 46: Former ALF child star died in car alongside his service dog in Arizona bank parking lot due to ‘suspected heatstroke’
Former child star Benji Gregory has died at the age of 46.
Gregory, best known for his role as Brian Tanner on the sitcom ALF, which ran from 1986 to 1990, was found dead in his car, along with his service dog, Hans, in a Chase Bank parking lot in Peoria, Arizona, on June 13.
Gregory’s sister Rebecca told TMZ Gregory suffered from depression, bipolar disorder and a sleep disorder that often kept him awake for days.
However, people who know him well believe that on June 12, he went to the bank to deposit the remainder of his checks and fell asleep in his car. He died of heatstroke.
The Maricopa County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that Gregory’s cause of death is still unknown.
