Benjamin Netanyahu calls ‘gays for Gaza’ an ABSURDITY, ‘You’d be shot in the back of the head’, and doubles down on public criticism of Biden administration

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed liberal activists in an interview published Friday, saying he was shocked by the number of young Americans who said they supported Hamas and ridiculed the “Gays for Gaza” movement.

“The people protesting with these murderers… You have gays for Gaza,” he said.

“That’s as absurd as I ever heard one. If you are gay in Gaza, you will be shot in the back of the head.

‘Women for Gaza. What are women in Gaza – they are chattels and other such absurdities.”

Gay sex is banned in Gaza and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison under a British-era law.

“The people who are protesting with these murderers… You have gays for Gaza,” Benjamin Netanyahu said. “That’s an absurdity… If you’re gay in Gaza, you’ll be shot in the back of the head.”

Recently unearthed, Hamas documents revealed that a top commander was executed with three bullets in the chest in 2016 for the crime of being homosexual.

Netanyahu made his comments at a time of particularly high tension with the Biden administration, which he accuses of delaying the delivery of vital weapons.

With one eye on the November elections, President Joe Biden is under intense pressure from the left of his own party to do more to protect Palestinian citizens and take a tougher stance against Netanyahu.

The Israeli prime minister will present his case to Congress on July 24.

In the meantime, he warned against letting pro-Hamas activists dominate the debate in America.

“I am an Israeli patriot and I speak on behalf of the Israeli people,” he said Punchbowl News.

“I’m glad to see that in poll after poll when Americans are asked who they support in this world? 80% say Israel and 20% say Hamas. 20% supporting Hamas is still an incredible number.

“Who do they support: these murderers, these rapists of women, the beheadings of babies, the burning of innocent civilians, the taking of hostages, including Holocaust survivors.

“Well, that may not be surprising, because about 20% say bin Laden was right and America was wrong. So there’s clearly a problem that’s affecting parts of American society that’s not challenging Israel, it’s challenging America.”

One in five young Americans have a positive view of Osama Bin Laden and three in 10 believe the views of the terrorist leader who slaughtered thousands of innocent people were a ‘force for good’, according to disturbing results from a DailyMail poll .com

A JL Partners survey for DailyMail.com in December found that one in five young Americans had a positive view of the September 11 mastermind and Al Qaeda founder.

Earlier this week, Netanyahu made his criticism of Washington public. He said it was “unthinkable” that the government had held up arms deliveries.

It sparked anger among White House officials, who canceled a planned meeting, saying the Israeli leader had simply gotten it wrong.

Netanyahu used the interview to say he was grateful for U.S. assistance but that the only way to prevent a full-scale war with Hezbollah, the armed Islamist movement camped along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, was to resume of all arms deliveries.

“President Biden came here, he sent two aircraft carriers and he gave us valuable aid, ammunition and weapons from the beginning of the war,” he said.

‘I appreciate that and I will continue to appreciate it.’

But he added that “many, many quiet conversations between our officials and U.S. officials” had not resolved the delays or removed the bottlenecks.

“I felt airing it was absolutely necessary after months of quiet conversations that failed to resolve the issue,” he said.

Although Biden has delayed the delivery of some heavy bombs over concerns about civilian casualties, officials have been at pains not to accuse Israel of crossing red lines in its assault on Rafah, southern Gaza.

Fighting has continued after eight months of war sparked by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

Netanyahu again emphasized that he could end the war faster if he had the right tools for the job.

“I don’t know what caused it,” he said.

“But I am aware that there has been a major delay in the delivery of important ammunition and weapons.

“I’m not talking about F-35s or F-16s that are years later. I am talking about what is needed now to both quickly win the war in Gaza and avoid a war in Lebanon that, in the absence of such a correction, is more likely to break out.”
