Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffers injury scare after nasty blow to the head in Steelers showdown
Joe Burrow’s head crashed into the turf after the Bengals quarterback was sacked in a concerning moment against the Steelers.
During the third quarter of Saturday’s matchup, Burrow was sacked by two Steelers defenders with a huge chunk of grass stuck in the crown of his helmet.
He was driven into the ground, hitting the turf head first. The quarterback did not immediately get up and received medical attention before heading to the tent.
Finally, Burrow ran off the field under his own power and headed straight for the blue medical tent.
After a few moments in the tent and being checked for a concussion, Burrow was cleared and allowed to return to the match.
Burrow now missed every play, as the scary moment occurred on a third down, with the Bengals kicking the ball away on the next play.
