Good Morning Britain fans were shocked by Kate Garraway’s ‘real age’ as she celebrated her birthday on Thursday.
Her co-host Ben Shephard revealed it was her special day while talking about the coronation of King Charles III.
He couldn’t resist berating his friend and telling viewers that Kate was turning 60.
Ben added: ‘There is so much preparation, organization going on right now for…Kate Garraway’s birthday.
“Oh, I think people are disappointed, they thought I was talking about the coronation.”

He then kept suggesting she turned 60, but Kate jokingly hit back, replying, “People keep saying, ‘Oh, we forgot'”. How many years have I been on this show and have you forgotten?
It’s also Star Wars Day. I would be proud when I am 59. I’m only 56 though.’
As the show went on, Ben continued to hurt and tease Kate about her age.
She said: “Ben is very rude to me, he turns me on!”
Later, Ben and Kate spoke to Lorraine Kelly ahead of her show – and she herself had a birthday surprise for the presenters.
She held a chocolate muffin with a candle on top as she spoke to them.
Also before their show, Ben had tweeted a picture of him and Kate, wishing her a happy birthday and writing, “It’s her birthday and yes you’re right, she’s had so many.
“Happy Birthday @kategarraway, we greet you!”
