Ben Cousins channels Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker character as he dons the costume for a family Halloween
AFL legend Ben Cousins stepped out for some family Halloween fun on Thursday.
The Brownlow Medalist, 46, wore the iconic Joker face paint, made famous by Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the iconic villain in the 2008 film The Dark Knight.
He also wore a purple jacket over a light blue vest and an orange shirt, matching his colorful Joker ensemble with tartan pants.
Ben stepped out with children Angelique, 10, and Bobby, 12, and all three came dressed to impress.
Angelique played the role of Beetlejuice in the signature black and white striped suit, while Bobby appeared in one photo with gruesome zombie-like wound makeup on his face.
Ben’s house also looked like a photo of the football legend proudly standing with his daughter’s nest against a banister at the front.
The railing was decorated with a creepy witch to shock would-be trick or treaters.
“Trick or treat,” Ben captioned a series of creepy snaps on Instagram, adding ghost and jack-o-lantern emojis.

“Good job on the joker Ben, you all look amazing,” one person wrote, while a second said something similar: “That’s so bloody amazing, Cuz!”
‘Great costumes!! And you’ll make great memories with your kids!! How life is meant to be.’
Others were excited to see Ben in doting dad mode with things like, “I love seeing you spend time with your kids.”

Ben, who has spent the last few years rebuilding his life after a public fall from grace, recently revealed that his appearance on the 2024 series of Dancing With The Stars has reignited his passion for sport.
The 45-year-old AFL legend told the Herald Sun in June that he missed the rush of competition and couldn’t get enough of it.
“I love the lifestyle of a professional athlete and I missed it,” he said.
Ben’s costume is based on Heath Ledger’s iconic version of the legendary DC comic book character, made famous in the 2008 film The Dark Knight.
I really thought that I would get the experience for six to eight, or ten weeks, and that I would just hang in there until the days were over. But it was completely the opposite.”
Ben went on to say that he didn’t want the experience to end.
“I remember a week before the show ended I started getting sad, I didn’t want to go home,” he said.
“When I think back on it, it still shocks me that that could have been the case. I fell in love with it, it was incredible’.
