The 52-year-old filmmaker – who is going through a divorce from Jennifer Lopez – and his brother Casey Affleck, 49, are said to be second cousins with the Hulu star.

She also played up the family link in another TikTok post shared earlier this month, playfully captioning the clip, “The new Jenny on the block.”
A source close to the situation said the alleged family connection is “absolutely not true.”

The insider explained, “That’s Zac Affleck too [Jen’s] husband. [His father] is David Affleck. Zac’s grandfather is Gordon Affleck. Zac’s great-grandparents – that would be true [establish] second cousins - his name is Alan Burt Affleck.

Additionally, Zac’s family reportedly has ties to England, while Ben and Casey Affleck’s relatives are from Scotland.
The source speculated that details about the alleged family connection were not made public sooner because Zac and Jen may have been “overwhelmed” by their meteoric rise to fame.
