Ben Affleck sat down for an interview with CBS Sunday Morning and revealed that he has achieved the ultimate happiness in his life and career.
Sitting next to his best friend Matt Damon, 52, the 50-year-old filmmaker discussed his upcoming film Air.
The film, which premiered at SXSW on Saturday and is out April 5, portrays how Nike worked to secure a deal with Michael Jordan in the 1980s.
And next on his list, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-raised talent will produce another upcoming sports biopic featuring his wife Jennifer Lopez, 53.
During the chat, Ben told CBS correspondent Tracy Smith about working at Air: “The happiness was being able to be here in Los Angeles, where my kids are, and see them every day.

Ben Affleck sat down with his best friend Matt Damon for an interview with CBS Sunday Morning and revealed that he has achieved the utmost happiness in his life and career.
He added emphatically, ‘Having [my kids] Come visit the set, working with my best friend all my life, there is nothing else I want in my life.
Dressed in a light green sweater with the sleeves rolled up, he reiterated: “I thought, ‘This is it. This is what I’ve always wanted.'”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Ben and Matt agreed that being able to spend time together while working on the upcoming project was “a plus.”
“Being able to spend more time together was one of the things we wanted to do,” Affleck explained.
The longtime actor said friends were wondering, “Why don’t we go out and spend more time together since we managed to stay friends all this time?”
Matt jokingly added: “Also, we hit 50, so you can see the end of the tunnel.”
Ben continued to emphasize the joy the creation of Air brought him when he shared: ‘I think the most wonderful thing was that I loved coming to work every day. I loved seeing Matt.
And he even called his friend and collaborator, with whom he earned critical acclaim for his 1997 film Good Will Hunting, “a genius.

“He just makes it so easy and it was so much fun,” he gushed. “I don’t know, it feels like we just got to do what we wanted to do.
I loved it and I’ve missed it every day since.”
He went on to call it “the best work experience of my life, hands down.”
Ben’s next film, about wrestler Anthony Robles as Air, will come from his and Matt’s new production company, Artists Equity.
It will also once again be distributed in partnership with Amazon.
Joking about his wife’s involvement in the film, Ben charmingly said, “We always hire the best artists and in this case, I can say that every single person who’s been cast so far I think is the best choice.”
She added sheepishly, “I think Jennifer Lopez may be making that movie, yeah.”
‘What fun and what a joy to see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend.
“Ultimately, your work becomes the lion’s share of what defines your life in terms of the time you spend.
‘If you don’t like who you’re working with and if you’re having difficulties or problems at work, I think that’s one of the things that can really cause people depression, anxiety and pain.
“And conversely, if you love people at work, you probably have a pretty good life.”
