Ben Affleck sweetly hugs daughter Violet, 19, at his home in Brentwood as the deadly LA fires continue to burn

Ben Affleck lovingly embraced his eldest child outside his home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Saturday.

The actor, 52, showed signs of delight and relief on his face as he hugged his daughter Violet, 19, who could soon return to Yale University for the spring term.

The Air star, whose recently purchased home in Pacific Palisades survived the deadly fire that ripped through the area earlier this week, appeared to be hunkered down in a rental home in Brentwood, where he had been living following his divorce from ex-wife Jennifer. Lopez.

The former couple’s divorce was finalized in just over four months, after the Unstoppable actress filed on August 22, 2024, according to Today.com.

Violet took precautions and wore what appeared to be an N-95 mask to protect herself from the smoke and dangerous particles in the air.

The freshman, whose mother is Ben’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, looked relaxed in a black hoodie and dark jeans with square-rimmed glasses.

His dark hair was cut short and he wore a full beard, nicely trimmed.

Affleck also shares children Fin, 16, and Sam, 12, with Garner, whom he was married to from 2005 to 2018.

The couple is reportedly enjoying a good co-parenting relationship.

Garner has spent time volunteering with Chef Jose Andres and his World Food Kitchen to provide food to evacuees at various pop-up locations in affected areas.

In an interview with MSNBC, the heartbroken star revealed that a friend of hers from church had died in the fire.

“I lost a friend, and for our church it’s very tender, so I don’t feel like we need to talk about it anymore,” the Deadpool and Wolverine actress said, her voice cracking.

‘I have indeed lost a friend. She didn’t get away in time.’

“My heart bleeds for my friends,” Garner said. “I mean, I can think of a hundred families, and five thousand homes have been lost. I can do it – even without it [thinking] — I could just write down a list of a hundred friends who lost their homes.”

“I almost feel guilty walking around my house,” she continued. ‘You know, what can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the security that I have?’

“I’ve lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years,” she explained, “so I think we all want to help in some way to be helpful.”

Garner's home also appears to have survived the Palisades fire, although she announced in an MSNBC resident that a friend had lost her life. The actress has been using some of her time to volunteer with chef Jose Andres and World Food Kitchen to provide meals for evacuees
