Ben Affleck may have been there to roast Tom Brady, but the actor became the target of an online skewer when viewers questioned his appearance during Sunday night’s live Netflix show, The Greatest Roast of All Time.
The actor, 51, made a surprise appearance on the broadcast and launched into a bizarre speech about NFL fans on social media, which some viewers called a “car crash.”
Others focused on Affleck’s face and wondered if he had had a facelift.
But insiders have now dismissed speculation that he has been under the knife, claiming he was simply clean-shaven and had some Botox.
Ben Affleck sparked speculation that he has had a facelift when he took the stage to roast his friend Tom Brady for Netflix’s live show, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady

“Ben looks great,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. “He had Botox – everyone gets it before events. He has had no filler and certainly no surgery.’
They added that his wife Jennifer Lopez, 54, is more than happy with his appearance and would not like him to undergo surgery.
“Jennifer wouldn’t like it if he changed his pretty face, nor would he want to,” they continued. ‘Ben is confident in his own skin. He just wanted it tighter.”
A separate source added: ‘Ben has been criticized time and time again about everything over the decades, this is nothing new. And now that people think he’s had a facelift, it’s just a joke.”
DailyMail.com has reached out to Affleck’s representatives for comment.
Affleck was clean-shaven and dressed in a suit as he took the stage at the Kia Forum in California to roast his good friend, Brady, 46, as part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest.
Viewers were quick to voice their concerns, with one calling his face ‘insane’.
Another said: ‘THIS is Ben Affleck? Why does his face look so different? It’s almost like he’s had some tucks and tucks done.”
But insiders have dismissed speculation that he has been under the knife, claiming he was simply clean-shaven and had some Botox.
An insider told DailyMail.com that his wife Jennifer Lopez, 54, is more than happy with his appearance and would not like him to undergo surgery.
A third added: “Ben Affleck is on stage, fresh from a facelift.”
A fourth wrote: ‘Ben Affleck couldn’t afford good plastic surgery? No wonder he seems so angry. That’s final.’
The comment was a nod to Affleck’s disdain for social media, with the actor spending most of his seven-minute set complaining about fans trolling Brady instead of roasting the former New England Patriots player as required.
“F*****g fans are behind you,” he said. ‘Fans buy tickets. Win or lose, they have your back… you sit there, hiding behind your keyboard, spewing all this toxic s**t behind your keyboard… that doesn’t make you a fan, that makes you ab* **H.’
He added that he couldn’t think of a “more f*cked up, dysfunctional, terrible work system designed to make people feel terrible all the time,” before turning to Brady’s former coach, Bill Belichick.
He then joked that he “probably wouldn’t work after tonight.”
Fans hopped on
Affleck is the latest male celebrity to draw attention to his appearance after Ryan Gosling asked questions about his face last week at the premiere of his new movie, The Fall Guy.
Brady has also faced speculation about his appearance, but his face escaped a cheeky mockery on last night’s show.
Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, Will Ferrell in the role of Ron Burgundy, and Kim Kardashian, who received heavy cheers from the audience, were among those who stepped up to roast him.
Kim, 43, looked puzzled as she tried to make a joke about host Kevin Hart’s height, with the comic having to interject with “woah, woah, woah” in an attempt to calm the jeering audience.
She also became the butt of jokes from other comedians, including Tony Hinchcliffe, who advised her to ‘close your legs’.
Hinchcliffe, 39, referred to Ferrell’s Burgundy, saying in the 2004 film Anchorman: “Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they called it San Diego, which of course means ‘the vagina of a whale’ in German.”
Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, Will Ferrell in the role of Ron Burgundy, and Kim Kardashian (pictured), who received heavy cheers from the audience, also roasted Brady that night
Hinchcliffe said: ‘A whale’s vagina, which reminds me of it. Kim Kardashian is here, she’s had a lot of black men celebrating her end zone.
“Kim advice: close your legs, you have more public beef than Kendrick and Drake.”
Brady also joined in the roasting during his response, joking about her ex-husband Kanye West and her four children.
“I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight,” he said. “Not because of that, but because her children are at home with their father.”
Kim – who shares daughters North, 10, and Chicago, six, and sons Saint, eight, and Psalm, four, with the rapper – was seen shaking her head at the comment and struggling to smile as the crowd gathered around her erupted in cheers.
