Ben Affleck looks glum with child Fin after Jennifer Lopez moved to DUMP his last name amid divorce war

It appears Ben Affleck is turning to his children for support following his split from Jennifer Lopez.

The 52-year-old Oscar winner was spotted with 15-year-old Finn, one of three children he has with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The duo went to a movie theater in Marina Del Rey on Thursday night to see the new Alien film, Alien: Romulus.

Affleck — who Lopez called “a family man again” — looked somber with his iPhone in his hand as he left the theater with a smiling Finn.

He wore a blue long-sleeved shirt over a gray T-shirt, khaki pants and Nike sneakers.

The discovery comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Lopez wants to drop the name ‘Affleck’ as part of her divorce petition.

The 55-year-old singer of On The Floor filed for divorce without a lawyer on Tuesday, August 20. It was also the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

In her petition, seen by DailyMail.com, Lopez requests that her name be returned to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.

Lopez, who was recently spotted wearing her wedding ring, listed April 26, 2024, as the divorce date.

The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in July 2022, insiders have revealed. It is Jennifer’s fourth failed marriage and Ben’s second.

In the absence of a prenuptial agreement, their individual income from the past two years, whether from film productions or major brand deals, would be joint property.

Jennifer, who reportedly has a net worth of $400 million, has released four films since marrying Ben, including her $20 million self-financed project This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, which chronicles the couple’s rekindled romance.

In 2023, she launched her Delola cocktail line and was set to embark on a world tour to promote her latest album, This Is Me… Now, but it was cancelled just weeks before its premiere so she could “focus” on her family.

Oscar-winner Ben, who reportedly has a net worth of $150 million, recently starred in the films Air (2023) and Hypnotic (2023). He also recently wrapped production on a sequel to 2016’s The Accountant.

To make matters even more complicated, Jennifer and Ben were working on the new movie Unstoppable.

Affleck is producing the project alongside Matt Damon, but Lopez is one of the film’s stars.

Jennifer is not requesting alimony and has asked the judge to deny it for Ben as well.

According to a new report from PEOPLEit was alleged that Lopez also had a hand in Afffleck focusing more on his children.

According to the site, the Atlas actress motivated the Argo director to be more “family-oriented.”

During their two-year marriage — which Ben hinted at a few months ago — the kids were “really important to them,” the insider said.

Lopez has twins, Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

But the way they spent their time with the children, it was said, divided them.

While JLo enjoyed going shopping and attending fun events with the little ones, Affleck preferred to stay home.

“They’re very different people,” the source added of Affleck and Lopez. “She’s very open and wants to go out, and he’s more introverted and is happy to hang out at home.”

Jennifer was indeed often seen traveling with the kids, as she has a busy schedule.

And she probably wanted to take all five kids with her on her summer tour, which has been postponed until 2025.

Ben may not want to go out as much anymore because he’s just not as social as Lopez.

In an interview with Kevin Hart earlier this year, Ben said he was “shy”: “I’m a little shy. I don’t like a lot of attention,” he told the comedian.

“That’s why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why is that guy always angry?’ Because someone had their camera pointed at me and I was like, ‘Okay, here we go.'”

“You got a resting b***h face,” Hart joked. “B****h? Now,” Affleck replied, feigning anger.

‘I have a hard face. People project something onto me that I don’t feel about myself at all.’

Meanwhile, Lopez is reportedly feeling “disappointed and sad” after filing for divorce from Affleck, but she knows it’s “time to move on.”

The superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben in the early 2000s and the couple reconciled in 2021, before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022.

They said, ‘She was done waiting and the date she did that says it all… [The divorce filing] gives her control over the process… It’s good she did it…

“She tried really hard to make it work and now she’s sad about it.”

The source stressed that the former couple’s blended family is a priority, adding: “The children are the top priority, as always.”

The singer/actress wrote an entire album – ‘This Is Me… Now’ – inspired by the couple’s renewed love affair and even made a film version of it.
