During a fairly candid interview with The Hollywood ReporterAffleck also opened up about whether or not he would be interested in directing a DC movie under the new regime led by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

“I wouldn’t direct anything for the (James) Gunn DC. Absolutely not,” Affleck said succinctly.

“I have nothing against James Gunn. Nice guy, I’m sure he’ll do well. I just wouldn’t want to go in and direct the way they do. I’m not interested in that,” Affleck clarified.

Affleck recently admitted that he finally “figured out how to play Batman” in his appearance in The Flash.

“I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it is just tone,” Affleck explained.

“You have to figure out, what is your version of the person? Who is the man who matches what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we’ve done, especially the first one, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

After The Flash hits theaters in June, Affleck also returns as The Dark Knight in Aquaman and the Lost Kindom, in theaters December 25.

The actor also stars in director Robert Rodriguez’s new movie Hypnotic, which debuted at SXSW and hits theaters May 12.
