Ben Affleck dropped a major clue MONTHS ago that his marriage to Jennifer Lopez was over

Ben Affleck hinted months ago that he was done with his wife Jennifer Lopez, who filed for divorce on Tuesday.

The 51-year-old star spoke of Kevin Hart during an episode from season four of his show Hart To Heart which was filmed in the first months of 2024.

The Argo director told a story about how fans harassed his wife when they were still his children Violet, Fin and Samuel in New York City’s busy Times Square.

At one point, Ben used the past tense when talking about his marriage.

Ben said that his daughter – he didn’t say if he meant Violet or if Fin was Seraphina – has this thing where she’s“She’s always making up titles for her autobiography.”

After the J-Lo craze began, his daughter turned to her father Ben and said a title for her autobiography could be: J-Lo Was My Stepmother.

He does tell why his daughter used the past tense ‘was’. Perhaps it was because the marriage was over by then.

Ben added, “And I thought, okay, that’s a good title.”

Affleck and Lopez split in April and she filed for divorce on Tuesday, their second wedding anniversary.

The interview was filmed in early 2024, when Ben still had a full beard. He had shaved it off in March to film The Accountant 2.

It’s possible they were already broken up when the interview took place, before March, even though Jennifer claims they broke up in April.

In the interview with Hart, Ben also went into great detail about Lopez’s enormous fame, even though he is actually only a little bit famous.

According to the Air star, fans went wild when they saw the 55-year-old Bronx-born beauty with him in Times Square.

It turned out to be his idea to walk through one of the busiest neighborhoods with a superstar on his arm.

We went somewhere with [Jennifer]”I don’t remember that because she’s so famous and she’s creating this. People love her and she really represents something important to people,” Affleck said.

‘[To me,] People would say, “Hey, I like your movie,” and they’d be like, “AAAHHHH! J-LO!” he’d yell. “He’s amazing, you know what I mean?”

Then he became more specific.

“I think it was when we were driving through Times Square,” he continued.

“We got out of the car, we were going to a play, and I was like, ‘Fuck it, honey, we’re going to be late, we have to walk another block and a half.’ [Lopez] was like, ‘Okay,’ she didn’t say anything.’

They were with all their children – he has Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with Jennifer Garner and Lopez has Max and Emme with Marc Anthony.

“We went out with her, with all the kids, through Times Square, and the shit was like f****n’ bananas,” Affleck noted.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ There was this lady, she was smoking weed, in a full purple tight suit — she’s a heavy lady — and she starts running backwards while she’s filming, going, ‘-LO!!’

He added: ‘Like a herald who attracts everyone, and then all the tourists come.’

Affleck said the chaos was too much to handle.

“And then we have our five kids, me and Jen, and hundreds of other people, and they’re all screaming.”

Affleck also talks about his grumpy face, and his explanation is hard to believe considering the actor — who has been in front of cameras for 30 years — says he’s “shy.”

Ben said, “I’m a little shy too. I don’t like a lot of attention.

‘That’s why people see me and think, “Why is that guy always angry?” Because someone had their camera pointed at me and I was like, “Okay, here we go.”‘

“You have a face that radiates calm,” Hart joked.

“B****h? Now,” Affleck responded, pretending to be angry.

‘I have a hard face. People project something onto me that I don’t feel about myself at all.’

Hart loses points for not asking Ben why he stays in show business if he doesn’t like attention.

Ben, who also directs, has no plans to stop acting: his next film is The Accountant 2.

“My wife will tell you I love to talk,” Ben said earlier in the interview. It’s notable he didn’t say “ex-wife,” but the show could have been taped months ago.
