Ben Affleck and Matt Damon to bring new thriller to Netflix – after Jennifer Lopez had huge success with Atlas for the streamer amid marriage woes
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reteaming for Netflix’s crime thriller RIP.
The film, which they star in and produce, comes from their production company Artists Equity.
Deadline broke the news and also reported that filming would begin in the fall.
No plot details have been released about the project, which was offered before it landed on Netflix, where Jennifer Lopez’s Atlas has recently been gaining a lot of attention.
Affleck, 51, and Damon, 53, have collaborated on several films before, most notably on their Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting and the Michael Jordan biopic Air Jordan.

Filmmaker Joe Carnahan, who directed The A-Team and Bad Boys for Life, will write the script and direct.
The friends most recently collaborated on Air, where they shared the story of Michael Jordan’s historic contract with Nike.
Affleck also directed that film, which was produced by his company Artists’ Equity.
They founded their production company with the goal of getting more cast and crew members, including talent who were left behind, to benefit.
Affleck’s next film is The Instigators, which he stars in with Matt’s brother Casey Affleck and is also produced by Artists Equity. The film will be released on AppleTV+ in August.
The news comes amid rumors of a divorce between Affleck and Lopez, who haven’t been photographed together in nearly a month.
The couple is selling artwork from their $60 million mansion in Bel-Air, California.
The house went on sale last month for $65 million.
