Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were seen together for the first time since filing for divorce on Saturday, engaging in what appeared to be a tense conversation at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The 53-year-old Batman actor leaned over to talk to the 55-year-old Maid in Manhattan star, gesturing with his arms.
Later, as they sat in the car, Jennifer appeared to wipe away tears.
The exchange took place in front of several of their children: Ben’s children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner – Violet, 18, Finn, 15, and Samuel, 12 – and Jennifer’s 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The meeting came just hours after Ben was spotted kissing best friend Matt Damon’s wife Luciana – and days after Damon was spotted holding hands with the star’s ex, Jennifer Lopez.

The reunion also comes after Jen made a stop at her ex-husband’s favorite fast food spot in Los Angeles on Monday.
The superstar appeared to be about to indulge in a cheat meal when she was spotted at the drive-thru of a local Jack in the Box.
Wearing minimal makeup and her hair in a ponytail, Jennifer’s natural beauty took center stage as she patiently waited for her order.
Although Jennifer and Ben officially split last month, her fast food outing appeared to be inspired by Ben’s recent string of food deliveries to his new bachelor pad.
Fast food has been a staple of JLo and Ben’s relationship. Last year, during their second attempt at romance, the two visited McDonald’s three days in a row.
And the Batman actor’s connection to Jack in the Box runs deep.
In August 2018, he made headlines when his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, drove him through the fast food chain’s drive-thru and then took him to rehab for a third time.
A few days earlier, Ben was spotted at a Jack in the Box event in Santa Monica, along with Playboy model and ex-girlfriend Shauna Sexton.

JLo’s fast food stop comes after she and Damon, 53, turned heads when they were spotted holding hands during a private moment at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday night.
The Jenny from the Block singer and the Bourne Identity actor appeared to be deep in conversation, with their heads close together in what was described as a serious 20-minute chat.
Lopez reportedly wanted to talk to Damon about her estranged husband after the split, but sources claim the actor had no interest in doing so.
“Matt Damon shut down every attempt JLo made to talk about Ben at the premiere,” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.
“Her timing was so awkward because she expected it to be picked up and go viral if she took Matt aside for an intimate conversation.”
The source continued: ‘Her whole hand on his hand was a nice touch, but he wanted none of it.
“He told her he was glad she was okay and grateful for her participation in the film. But he also made it clear that he wasn’t there to talk about Ben at all.”
Jennifer and Ben officially split on April 26. On August 20, the actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Shortly after the filing, speculation swirled that Ben was dating RFK Jr.’s daughter Kick Kennedy after they were spotted together in Los Angeles on several outings.
However, Ben’s rep strongly denied the reports, telling People: “There’s no truth to it. I don’t know if they even know each other.”
Jennifer and Ben first met on the set of Martin Brest’s 2001 flop Gigli in Los Angeles, but split abruptly just three days before their wedding in 2004.
After their breakup, they both married others. Jennifer married Marc Anthony in 2004 and Ben married Jennifer Garner in 2005.
After both marriages ended, the two rekindled their romance in 2021. They first exchanged vows in a modest chapel ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a more grand celebration at Ben’s Georgia estate the following month.
