Below Deck Down Under: Laura Bileskalne blames producers for sexual misconduct scandal that saw herself and Luke Jones fired

Below Deck Down Under star Laura Bileskalne broke her silence on Tuesday over the sexual misconduct scandal that saw her and a co-star fired from the show.

The flight attendant, 31, revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show she believes producers took the incident, in which boatswain Luke Jones climbed into a sleeping co-star’s bed, out of context.

Jones was later fired from the show over the incident and Bileskalne was subsequently fired after she stood up for him.

“I got fired for standing up for Luke. Margot Sisson wasn’t unconscious, you can see her talking to him on the video,’ Laura began.

He asked her, “Are you feeling okay,” and she said yes. He went into the cabin to talk to her because they wanted to continue the party after the jacuzzi.

Laura then made the bold claim that Luke was just “checking” on Margot and that any alleged sexual misconduct was just a misunderstanding.

Luke was wearing boxer shorts and went to check on her. But the producers didn’t want to make a situation out of nothing,” she said.

“He didn’t sneak into her bed. He first asked her if she was feeling well.’

Despite Laura claiming that Luke was wearing boxers, the show’s footage clearly shows the Bosun was completely naked.

The sexual misconduct scandal was seen on a recent episode, where boatswain Luke Jones was fired after climbing into the bed of Sisson, who was fast asleep in her underwear, “without consent.”

Second Stew Laura Bileskalne’s response to the incident also led to her being let go by Captain Jason Chambers after insisting that Luke was not to blame.

She was eventually fired for showing “little respect and empathy” towards Margot.

During the dinner, Margot stated she was “really drunk” and stew chef Aesha Scott even told deckhand Culver Bradbury to watch her.

Despite Margot’s intoxicated state, Luke repeatedly tried to flirt with her, asking her to “cuddle” him while they were in the back of a car together.

“No, let’s go,” she replied, before making it clear that she just wanted to “go to bed.”

Later, Aesha tearfully claimed that Luke had tried to “take advantage of Margot’s drunkenness” while she was “completely unconscious” in bed.

Captain Jason then entered Luke’s room and ordered him to stay overnight in a hotel.

Laura then made the bold claim that Luke was merely “checking” Margot Sisson (pictured) and that any alleged sexual misconduct was simply a misunderstanding.

The next morning, Jason gathered the rest of the crew and told them that Luke was being fired.

Flight attendant Laura spent the rest of the day sympathizing with Luke, saying he should have just been given a ‘warning’ and not fired.

She even told Margot that the shooting “wasn’t fair” and that he was just “joking” and “drunk,” before suggesting that Margot may have been guilty of the incident.

As a result, Captain Jason eventually fired Laura as well, berating her for not respecting boundaries.

Captain Jason fired Luke the next day. On his way out, Luke told Jason he was “so sorry” and “so disappointed” in himself for the way he had behaved.
