Beloved Australian TV personality shares cute childhood photo – so can you tell who it is?

An Australian TV personality has revealed a completely unrecognizable childhood photo.

The celebrity, now in his 50s, looked adorable in the childhood shot as he posed with his on-screen grandpa in one of the first-ever commercials for a Polaroid camera.

Dressed in a 1970s style baseball jersey, the little boy wraps his arms around the older man – so can you tell who it is?

“Throwback Thursday,” he captioned the post.

“I just found this,” he continued.

‘I was in one of the very first Australian commercials for Polaroid instant cameras. Here’s a Polaroid from the Polaroid commercial. Apparently I always wanted to be famous…

“This was my so-called grandfather on our so-called boat,” he wrote.

The snap, of course, is Larry Emdur.

The photo comes just hours after Emdur was left shocked on Thursday when famed sexologist Chantelle Otten described women as “vulva owners” during an appearance on The Morning Show.

Terms such as “vulva owners” and “people who menstruate” are sometimes used to refer to biological women by those who are trying to be more inclusive in their language.

They believe that saying “female” is not always correct because some women – namely transgender women – have penises instead of vaginas and do not menstruate.

Emdur, 58, was clearly unaware of the progressive slang as he thought Otten, 31, said ‘Volvo owners’, resulting in an awkward live TV moment.

He was berated by his co-host Kylie Gillies for not understanding what Otten, the girlfriend of former Australian of the year Dylan Alcott tried to say.

When Otten described himself as a “feminine person” and “a vulva owner” during a discussion about sexual pain, Emdur suddenly looked stunned.

“Has this become a car segment?” he asked.

Gillies, 55, who seemed to see the blunder coming from a mile away, immediately said, “I knew you’d mishear that.”

When Otten clarified that she was talking about the female anatomy, she took a look at Emdur and asked if he knew what a vulva was.

Emdur continued the joke and asked, “Are we talking about sex in cars?”

He added that there are “a lot of airbags” in Volvos.

The awkwardness didn’t stop there: when the Channel Seven hosts went to promote Otten’s new podcast, Emdur couldn’t help but crack one last joke.

‘This segment is proudly brought to you by Volvo, Wheels Car Magazine’s car of the year five times in a row!’ he said.

“You can listen to the podcast in your Volvo if you like,” Gillies added, Otten barely holding back a laugh.
