Bella Hadid’s character REVEALED in teaser trailer for season three of Hulu’s Ramy 

Earlier this year, it was revealed that she had landed a recurring role on the upcoming season of the critically acclaimed Hulu series Ramy.

And Bella Hadid’s character was finally revealed in a teaser trailer for the show’s highly anticipated third season, which released Wednesday.

The 25-year-old supermodel appears as “Lena,” a striking young woman who matches up with Ramy Hassan’s (played by series creator Ramy Youssef) close friend Stevie (played by Steve Way) on a Muslim dating app.

Though she doesn’t deliver sentences in the new trailer, Bella’s Lena is seen giggling to herself during an awkward dinner for three with Stevie and Ramy.

“So, uh, how did you two meet again?” asks Ramy from across the dining table, to which Stevie quickly replies, “Muslim match.”

The answer comes as a surprise to Ramy, since Stevie, unlike himself, is not a Muslim.

‘You don’t have to be a Muslim to’ [be on that site]?’ Ramy questions.

Stevie confidently confesses that the dating site will literally “let anyone on it.”

This brings a smile to Lena, who sits next to Stevie in a chic outfit with her dark brown hair worn half up half down.

For her title card, Bella is captured staring out a window in a gray jacket over a blue sweater and white shirt before turning to the camera.

Bella’s addition to the Ramy cast was first reported by Deadline in March.

She was confirmed to have a recurring role on the series, but details about her storyline and character were kept secret.

Ramy was co-created by comedian Ramy Youssef, who stars as a first-generation Egyptian American in New Jersey.

While the title character is the millennial product of a secular Western milieu, his Muslim family and roots are more traditional and conservative.

Ramy himself is conflicted about his own feelings about religion and spirituality, and the show charts his personal evolution.

Previous recurring guest stars on the show have included Mahershala Ali, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Moonlight.

The main cast includes names such as Hiam Abbas, who plays Ramy’s mother and can also be seen as Brian Cox’s dramatically younger wife in Succession.

Ramy’s third season is slated to release on Hulu on September 30.

As for her own faith, Bella told us in a 2017 Porter interview that her Palestinian father Mohamed Hadid “was always religious and always prayed with us. I am proud to be a Muslim.’

When she wrote this year’s April issue: Fashion she revealed that she has developed a more ecumenical attitude.

‘I am very spiritual and I find that I can join any religion. There’s that my-way-is-the-right thing in human nature, but for me it’s not about my god or your god. I’m really just calling on anyone who wants to be there for me,” she said.

While Bella has starred in projects like commercials before, Ramy seems to be the biggest acting role she has ever had.

The trailer’s release comes at a busy time for the runway maven, which currently dominates New York Fashion Week.

The fashion extravaganza kicked off last Friday, with Bella on the runway with boyfriend Kendall Jenner for Proenza Schouler.

Bella has also walked the runway for Fendi and for the star-studded ‘fashion experience’ Vogue World.
