A former Bachelor star and recovered sex addict is targeting high-profile Australian feminists who she says are inadvertently sparking a wave of misogyny by “hating” men.

Belinda “Love” Rygier, who overcame her addiction after putting more than 700 men to bed, called Abbie Chatfield and Clementine Ford the worst offenders, she said.

She even compared them to toxic influencers on the other side of the “war of the sexes,” including disgraced social media star Andrew Tate, whose misogyny has kicked him off social media platforms like TikTok.

“I think ‘good for her’ because of her personal success. But her views on feminism are actually disorderly,’ Mrs Rygier said of Chatfield.

Misandry refers to the hatred of men. Some male-dominated online communities argue that misconduct is rife as a result of feminism’s “going too far.”

In contrast, many feminists argue that disorder and misogyny cannot be compared because of gender inequality in society, and that this is a false equivalence.

“I don’t agree with how she treats men,” added Rygier, who runs boot camps to promote healthy and stable relationships.

Belinda “Love” Rygier, who overcame her addiction after putting more than 700 men to bed, called Abbie Chatfield and Clementine Ford the worst offenders, she said.

Rygier said Chatfield and Ford “trigger” her with their sometimes bizarre statements about men.

Ford, a bestselling author and commentator, infamously tweeted that “coronavirus doesn’t kill men fast enough,” at the height of the pandemic. She later apologized after public outcry.

Chatfield also once claimed that “40 percent of men are pedophiles.”

‘How [Chatfield] talks about them. I don’t follow them because they trigger me, her and Clementine Ford. How they hate men…’ said Rygier.

Rygier said he wasn’t surprised that men and boys are retreating to toxic and sexist online communities — known as the “manosphere” — because of these hostile attitudes reinforced by the media.

“They wonder why men go back to misogyny because it’s this whole pendulum swinging. Misogyny creates disorder, which we call feminism,” she said.

“It’s like one person says, ‘I hate men,’ and the other says, ‘I hate women.'”

Rygier favors an attitude that emphasizes respect for all.

The former dating show contestant now runs boot camps to promote healing and self-esteem in relationships, a topic she’s passionate about.

‘In relationships we are not taught how to deal with people. We are simply assumed to know because we are growing up in a family. But there’s a lot more to it,’ she says.

‘There is much more to it than people think. They think you can go on a date and find love and that’s it.’

When Ford was emailed for comment on Tuesday, he told Daily Mail Australia: “I literally have no idea who Belinda Love is.”

Chatfield did not respond.
