Beer lovers in Travis Tritt’s hometown are ‘switching to Coors Light’ after he slammed Bud Light

Beer aficionados in Country star Travis Tritt’s hometown have begun moving away from their usual favorite Bud Light after the Grammy Award winner criticized the brand for its campaign featuring trans star Dylan Mulvaney.

Locals in Marietta, Georgia have switched from their usual drink Bud Light to Coors Light, according to bartenders — who say the impact was “immediate.”

Tritt, 60, announced he would remove all Anheuser-Busch drinks from his tour bus after learning they were working with the transgender influencer.

Singer Kid Rock, 52, also showed his disdain by shooting several cases of beer and saying “F*** Bud Light and f*** Anheuser-Busch.” Have a great day.’

It comes as country singer John Rich became the latest celebrity to come out with the brand and ask what beer he should use to replace Bud Light at his Nashville bar, Redneck Riviera.

He declined to comment further on the matter, and Redneck Riviera did not respond to a DailyMail.com request for comment.

Customers of Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Rock n’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville praised the country icon for allegedly removing Bud Light from the bar.

Some visitors said they were “impressed” that the star “put his money where his mouth is,” though there was no response when DailyMail.com asked for confirmation from the bar.

A bartender at Georgia’s Rusty Barrel told DailyMail.com that the impact immediately followed the backlash from the country stars.

She said, “The impact was immediate. People were complaining about the whole campaign and what it represented.

“Early in the week we had the impact right away, they saw the campaign and the comments from Kid Rock and Travis, and they’re not drinking it anymore, period.

“They changed the beer. They usually ask for Coors Light instead, but it’s hard to say if they’ll comply.”

Mulvaney, 26, announced the partnership in a series of videos posted to social media over the weekend on the occasion of the NCAA March Madness tournament.

She even got a beer can with her face printed on it to celebrate being a woman for 365 days – something that angered the singer.

He added that there were “lots of other artists” who did the same thing but didn’t come forward for fear of being “mocked and canceled.”

Tritt has a combined following of 700.3,000 followers, compared to Mulvaney’s 1.7 million on Instagram alone.

He admitted that he had toured with Budweiser – one of the many brands under the Anheuser-Busch umbrella – in the 1990s.

The multi-award-winning artist added, “That was when Anheuser-Busch was American-owned.

‘A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a pity.’

Tritt seems to be referring to the Belgian company InBev and the American company Anheuser-Busch that agreed to merge in 2008, with Budweiser as their flagship company.

He then took aim at Ru Paul’s Drag Race and Jack Daniels, posting a photo to his social media that read, “All Jack Daniels drinkers take note.”

Mulvaney, who has not yet had sex reassignment surgery, is currently taking hormones to help her transition into a woman — documenting her change “into the girl.”

Thousands of people reacted to 52-year-old Kid Rock, posting the footage online for his 1.9 million followers to say, “F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a great day.’

It sparked another backlash from fans, who were already deciding whether to make Mulvaney part of the brand.

PR experts previously told DailyMail.com that the decision to change their marketing so drastically was like “setting their loyal fan base on fire.”

Gareth Boyd, Director of Marketing & PR at Fort Analyticasays that while he can understand where the decision came from, it’s “not the right way to go about it.”

Speaking to DailyMail.com, he said, “I really can’t understand their approach to this because their core audience just can’t relate to it.

“Cutting off your core audience in the hopes of attracting a completely new audience that hasn’t been exposed before doesn’t make sense.”

Several former customers filmed themselves pouring the beer down — down the sink and toilet — while others emptied their fridges of the product into bins.

But the company stood behind the TikTok star, who was accused of dressing in a childish manner, with more than 10 million followers, with Anheuser-Bush saying the cans were a personal gift to her.

They added that she is one of hundreds of influencers the company has partnered with.

In a statement, the spokesperson said: “From time to time, we produce unique commemorative tins for fans and for brand influencers, such as Dylan Mulvaney.”

Mulvaney has made hundreds of thousands of dollars, gained allies in the White House and made her way into the world of Hollywood celebrity.

She’s been documenting her journey, explaining that she didn’t get a childhood as a girl, and was exploring what that would be like before moving onto “womanhood” — despite some criticizing her choices to describe it as “girlhood.”

Her rise among social media influencers became evident last month when Vice President Kamala Harris wrote her an anniversary letter to celebrate her “365th day of authentic living.”

She had already met the boss, President Joe Biden, at the White House in October.

It comes after the controversial star signed her third deal in a week with Nike Women, sparking backlash for the sports brand after the Bud Light saga.
