The latest development in the couple’s divorce occurred in February, when Hakuta requested joint custody of their girls.

Ali had made the same request when she officially filed to end their marriage two months earlier.

As for child support, the PEOPLE claimed that Hakuta had not filed directly, but it was noted that he and Wong were working out their divorce in mediation.

In her Dec. 22 divorce filing, Wong β€” who is dating SNL alumnus Bill Hader β€” cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, TMZ Previously reported.

Their date of separation was listed as April 10, 2022, days before they publicly announced their split.

These documents also show that Ali and Justin are in mediation to settle spousal support and organize their assets.

It was reported that the two want to solve their problems on their own.

Ali noted that the couple had a prenup, and she wants it enforced in court.

The couple met at a friend’s wedding reception in 2010 and married in 2014 in San Francisco.

In her 2016 Baby Cobra special on Netflix, Ali explained that when she learned Justin was a Harvard student and Fulbright scholar, she played hard to get.

‘I was like, “Oh, my God, I’m going to trap his ass. I’m going to trap his ass!” And I initially tricked him by not kissing him until the fifth date, which is a very unusual move on my part. But I did it on purpose because I knew he was a catch,” she told a live audience.

In her book Dear Girls: Intimate Tales Untold Secrets and Advice for Living Your Best Life, Ali calls the marriage contract she signed before walking down the aisle one of the secrets to her success.

β€œMy father always praised ‘the gift of fear,’” she explained. β€œAnd that prenup terrified me.

“Ultimately, being forced to sign that prenup was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me and my career.”

In February 2022, Ali called her marriage “monogamy prison” in her Don Wong comedy special on Netflix.

Shortly after her divorce, Ali began dating actor Bill Hader for several months. He had recently ended his relationship with Anna Kendrick.

Wong and Hader reportedly split not long after, but rekindled their romance in April 2023 when they kissed while out for a walk in LA.

Two days prior to the sighting, a rep for Bill confirmed to Page Six that he and Ali were back together.

Since then, they’ve continued to pack on the PDA in public. They were seen holding hands in LA on May 16.
