A 24-year-old Massachusetts woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly killing both her parents while on her way to breakfast.
Jessica Cavallaro is accused of fatally shooting parents Thelma Tatten and Mark Cavallaro, both 56, as they sat in the backseat of their car.
She was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Concord District Court and charged with murder, assault, assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a firearm without a permit.
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said officers responded to a 911 emergency call just after 9 a.m. yesterday.

Officials pronounced the mother dead at the scene while the father was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital.
According to court documents, Jessica Cavallaro lived with her boyfriend and his parents on Washington Street in Bedford.
Early Thursday morning she unexpectedly came home from work and said she was having a panic attack.
Her parents had picked her up from work and taken her to her boyfriend’s house.
Jessica reportedly went into the Washington Street home for about 30 minutes, then came back out and got into her parents’ car to go to breakfast.
But when she entered, Jessica allegedly shot them both in the head and then went back into the house and told her boyfriend’s parents what she had done, the documents show.

Prosecutors have not said why she allegedly committed the crime.
