An employee at the Melbourne tile gallery told Ny Breaking Australia that the Patagonia stone is “quite rare” and costs around $8,000 per slab, depending on size. That estimate is based on a single piece measuring 3.1 metres by 1.9 metres and 20mm thick.
Bec’s renovation also includes an extension to the original home and a circular pool, she revealed in a video posted to The Melbourne Builder and Co’s Instagram in June.
“We’re taking out the walls and making the living spaces bigger,” she told viewers.
“It’s very bold and it helps to accentuate a warm, neutral color palette,” she said.

The estate made headlines in 2019 when the Judds were fined $40,000 for illegally cutting down vegetation near their vacation home.
The couple was concerned about snakes and wildfires on the property and called a landscaper to clear some brush. However, the amount of brush cleared exceeded city regulations, which require a permit to clear vegetation over a certain size.
The couple’s plans to renovate their home were officially approved by the Mornington Peninsula Shire in August 2022.
