Beauty Queen ‘murder-for-hire plotter’ Lindsay Shiver makes bombshell new allegations

A beauty queen accused of hiring a hitman to murder her estranged husband claims her boyfriend tried to strangle her with a pillow.

Lindsay Shiver and her then-boyfriend Terrance Adrien Bethel, 28, are accused of conspiring to kill former NFL player Robert Shiver with the help of hitman Faron Newbold, 29.

She has been held in the Bahamas since her arrest last July, but in December a judge ruled she could return to the US over the holidays to see her three children.

Shiver has a new boyfriend, Dorsey Ryan Love, 35, in Alabama after she was allowed to return to the U.S. The trial has been postponed indefinitely, with the next hearing not scheduled until October.

However, she claimed that the relationship also ended badly, as Love threw her on the bed on July 25 and threatened to kill her.

Love was arrested in Dothan, Alabama, on July 31 and charged with strangulation. He also faces three other previous, unrelated charges, including identity theft.

Shiver claims he threw her on the bed in the Cherokee Avenue home in Dothan, then strangled her and placed a pillow over her face to suffocate her.

She also filed a restraining order against Love on July 29, detailing the alleged assault. She also alleged that he assaulted her while on vacation in Tampa, Florida, but that she did not report it to police at the time.

“He threatened to kill me,” she claimed.

On December 21, Lindsay was granted permission by a judge in the Bahamas to return to the U.S. under certain conditions.

She is not allowed to come closer than 100 feet from her former husband, an NFL player, must remain in the state of Alabama and is given an electronic monitor.

The mother of three is only allowed to return to Georgia, where her husband lives, for divorce or custody proceedings.

She claimed that Robert had agreed to grant her children visitation rights and accused him of later denying her access.

Shiver is accused of conspiring with her former bartender-mistress Bethel to frame Newbold for her husband’s murder.

Prosecutors said the three discussed the attempted murder over WhatsApp before Shiver sent Newbold a photo of Robert, who filed for divorce in April of last year, along with the instruction: “kill him.”

According to documents seen by DailyMail.com, Shiver broke down in tears during her police interview and confessed to sending photos and messages to Newbold, instructing him to kill her husband of 13 years.

The photos, obtained by DailyMail.com, show Robert getting cozy with a mystery blonde at a bar in the Bahamas.

The alleged murder plot came to light by chance when police launched an investigation into a break-in at Grabbers, a popular waterfront drinking spot on Great Guana Cay.

They asked staff, including Bethel, to hand over their phones for inspection and found WhatsApp messages in which he, Shiver and Newbold allegedly discussed the murder of Robert, who was visiting his family in nearby Baker’s Bay.

“This n***a came up to Lindsay and wouldn’t let her on the plane and he touched her. I’m about to come out of retirement for this n***a,” Bethel reportedly wrote to his childhood friend.

“He flies to Baker’s Bay, she considers having me kill him, but he has the children.”

Officers arrested Shiver on July 21, examined her iPhone and found she had sent Newbold “multiple photos” of her husband, along with a text message saying “kill him,” the lawsuit alleged.

According to a reliable source, the trio were arrested and more incriminating messages were found on their devices.

Robert was on vacation, away from his estranged wife, when police alerted him to the plot.

When Bahamian authorities informed him of the alleged threat, he called his wife “manipulative” and speculated about why she wanted to eliminate him.

“She had an affair with an 18-year-old boy about a year ago and came to Abaco to sneak him into my house,” his statement said.

“I found out about it through her Apple Watch and she convinced me that she wanted to start a family, so we tried to make it work.”

The marriage finally ended when he discovered his wife was having an affair with Bethell in February, Robert said.

He accused his wife of drinking, making “bad decisions” and meeting “unpleasant” new people.

Robert also said he was “scared for his life” and flew back to the US with his children shortly after.

He is now in a relationship with 26-year-old reality star Savannah Chrisley, the latter of whom confirmed their relationship on her Instagram.

His family owns property in the exclusive Baker’s Bay, a members-only golf resort where celebrities including Michael Jordan, Justin Timberlake and Tom Brady have sprawling oceanfront mansions.

But in April, they blocked Shiver’s access to the family’s lavish home and private jet after Robert discovered his wife was having an affair with Bethel. He filed for divorce, citing his wife’s “adulterous behavior.”

Shiver filed a counter-claim, accusing Robert of domestic abuse and claiming that any “extramarital affair” only occurred after they had already separated.

Shiver is originally from Alabama and graduated from Auburn University, where the two met in 2007 when Robert was captain of the American football team.

Robert signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Falcons, but was fired due to staff reductions prior to the 2009 season. He eventually became executive vice president of Senior Life Insurance Company.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com in August, Bethel declared his love for Shiver, saying their marriage was on the rocks before he came on the scene.

“None of us have anything to hide. People take everything for granted and slander us,” he said.
