Beauty lovers are obsessed with $9 Aldi version of $62 Dior lipbalm

Beauty lovers obsessed with $9 dupe for $62 Dior lip balm: ‘You can’t tell the difference’

  • Shoppers flock to Aldi for the Lacura Beauty Ultra Glow Lip Balm
  • It has been called a makeup ‘must have’ by thousands

Shoppers have been gobsmacked over a $9.99 lip balm rumored to be the “perfect dupe” of a high-end product worth six times the price.

Aldi’s Lacura Beauty Ultra Glow Lip Balm comes in Sheer Pink, Coral Red, and Runway Red and is compared to Dior’s $62 Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm.

Beauty enthusiasts claim that the colors, formulation, and packaging make it the “perfect” budget alternative to the famous gloss.

Available for a limited time each year, the Aldi dupe has become even more popular since the Dior gloss was labeled a makeup ‘must-have’.

The shades, formulation, and packaging closely match Dior's Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm, which will set you back $62 at Sephora

A Sydney shopper recently got her hands on the budget buy during a trip to Aldi.

“I’m so excited because Aldi brought back the Dior lip balm dupes,” Yasmin said in a video. “I missed last time, so I really want to try.”

She also swatched the products on her hand and showed off the moisturizing formula.

Skye, another beauty enthusiast, also tried the product after being unwilling to spend another $62 on the Dior lip balm.

“This is literally a dupe,” she said after applying the product. “I love my Dior balm, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend money [$62] again – it’s unreasonable.’

She added, “It’s so sultry and hydrating, and it’s such a beautiful color.”

Many others were extremely excited about the new stock and couldn’t wait to try the Aldi Special Buy.

“I bought the sheer pink last time and it’s perfect for anyone who wants a subtle pink,” said one customer. “It also tastes like tattoo roll-ups, which is always great.”

“I need the red one, the colors are so beautiful,” another wrote.

A third added: ‘The packaging is almost identical – no one will tell the difference from afar!’

“This is so affordable and feels just like the original,” added another. “Nice product.”
