Looking across the bay, lips pouting, the glint of the setting sun in your shadow. It’s another perfect selfie.

Your Instagram friends back home may think you’re the epitome of cool… but after you drop your sunglasses to inspect the menu, the waiter stares at you.

He can’t take his eyes off you. As he approaches, give him your best smile. But he takes your order and leaves with a grin.

It’s later. Much later, back in the hotel room when you stand in front of the mirror. And find the truth – two pale sticking points on either side of your nose… where your sunglasses used to be.

Makeup and shades can be a dangerous combination, but don’t worry, one TikToker has come up with a “genius” solution to save you from those embarrassing face blemishes.

She said she notices that the foundation stays on the bridge of her nose, where the sunglasses are

The creator, Miss Alana Black, shared that she likes to wear makeup and sunglasses in the summer but finds it annoying when the makeup creases

Alana Black, aka @missalanablack on TikTok, shared a video explaining how to get rid of those telltale blemishes and creases on your nose.

She captioned the clip “daily reminder to try this hack if you’re wearing glasses and makeup this spring/summer!” — and her followers praise her “great idea.”

In the clip, she begins by explaining that she likes to wear make-up and sunglasses in the summer, but finds it annoying when the make-up leaves marks.

But she told her followers that she has a hack to prevent this “annoying” occurrence.

Ms. Black said, “Don’t worry, this hack will definitely fix it.”

The TikToker showed its users a box of setting powder and said, “You are going to take some setting powder, you are going to take a brush. Every brush is suitable for your powder.’

After putting a little of the powder into a smaller jar, she said, “You’re going to dip a little bit of it.” You’re going to put your sunglasses and a little bit of that powder on your glasses where it would be on your face.”

The TikToker then gently brushes the powder against the nose pads of her sunglasses, making sure it doesn’t get on the lenses.

She continues, “This way [your makeup] doesn’t crease and your make-up looks perfect – even with sunglasses on.’

TikTok users have praised Ms Black for sharing the tip, especially with the warmer and sunnier weather just around the corner.

To make sure your makeup doesn't get ruined, you should smear some setting powder on your glasses

The TikToker showed how to do the simple hack - she essentially puts some powder on the glasses where they would sit on your nose to prevent makeup from transferring

While a second said, “Thanks for sharing!”

Added a third: “Cool.”

And another person wrote, “Great hack babe.”

But one less than impressed user said, “This is assuming I have time and am not late to get out the door.”
