Beau Ryan mistakes Jonathan LaPaglia for Tom Cruise after the pair pose for a selfie together: ‘So good meeting him’

Beau Ryan has mistaken Jonathan LaPaglia for Tom Cruise after he posed for a selfie with the Australian Survivor star.

On Wednesday, Beau, 38, showed off his beloved sense of humor on Instagram when he shared a photo of the two men.

“How nice to meet Tom Cruise,” he joked as Jonathan rested his arm on him.

Beau looked at the photo through the camera lens as Jonathan smiled politely for the cheerful photo.

Beau and Jonathan are known to be friends with the pair both hosting popular Ten reality shows.

Beau will next be seen hosting Gladiators alongside Liz Ellis, which airs on Ten early next year.

“I am beyond excited to be co-hosting with the wonderful Liz Ellis,” he said.

“Liz is a national treasure, and we’re going to have a lot of fun. I grew up watching and loving it and can’t wait to get started with it. It’s going to be spectacular.’

Beau, who retired from the NRL in 2014, revealed how he stays in shape in conversation with The Daily Telegraph last year.

“I train at S1 Training in Caringbah because I love the circuit training and the community atmosphere,” he said.

‘If the weather is nice after training, I dive in the ocean. Man, it’s good for the soul,” Beau added.

He also told Ny Breaking Australia in April 2021 that he works out at least five times a week.

“As a former athlete, I have always trained and take pride in how I look and feel physically, so it is a big part of my life,” he said.

Despite living a healthy lifestyle, Beau says he still enjoys having fun on special occasions.

“I’m not a big drinker, my wife does most of the drinking for our family,” he said.

‘I drink at the right time – when we are celebrating, especially on a big occasion, like my sister’s wedding recently, or the latest edition of a show or when a job is done.’
