Beau Lamarre-Condon formally removed from NSW Police after allegedly murdering Sydney couple
Alleged double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been officially banned from the NSW Police Force.
Lamarre-Condon is accused of the murder of Sydney couple Luke Davies and Jesse Baird.
“An off-duty police officer charged with two murders in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has today been removed from the NSW Police Force,” police said.
‘Under section 181D of the Police Act 1990, the commissioner has the power to dismiss officers if she has lost confidence in their suitability to continue as a police officer.’
The couple’s bodies were found on February 27 in surfboard bags on a rural estate in Bungonia near Goulburn, about 200 kilometers south-west of Sydney.
Lamarre-Condon is accused of shooting the pair with his service weapon while off-duty on February 19.
Detectives allege Lamarre-Condon’s murder of Mr Baird with his police-issued weapon was a premeditated attack following a months-long campaign of “predatory behavior” against the man with whom he had a brief “friends with benefits” relationship.
Police say Mr Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, was killed because he happened to be at the Paddington premises at the time his partner was murdered.
An extensive search was conducted for the couple, but Lamarre-Condon initially did not want to tell police where their bodies were located.
He then spoke with an attorney on February 27, over a week after the alleged murders.
Lamarre-Condon was charged with two counts of murder and is currently in the Silverwater Correctional Complex, in Sydney’s west.
He will appear in court at the Downing Center in Sydney on April 23.
This is a breaking story. More to come.
