Bear Grylls shared a rare photo with his look-alike son Marmaduke as the teenager celebrated his 18th birthday.
The adventurer, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday to wish his middle son a happy birthday with two snaps alongside his 24-year-old wife Shara Cannings Knight.
Bear, who also has sons Jesse, 20, and Huckleberry, 15, with Shara, captioned the post: “18 today! We love you so much Marmaduke… keep shining! .’
But fans were quick to point out Marmaduke’s incredible height as he towered over his parents in both photos.
The first photo showed Marmaduke, who Bear previously said is 6 feet tall, wearing a long black coat covering a fitted waistcoat, an Oxford shirt and pinstripe pants with his hair in a buzz -cut shaved.

In the second click, Marmaduke matched his father with a shirt and vest combination.
Looking at the comments section of Bear’s post for Marmaduke’s birthday, fans were also amazed at how big he is.
They wrote: ‘Bear Junior turns out to be a Grizzly’; ‘I think drinking p*** has somehow created a super human’; ‘Bear Gryll’s son actually a bear’; ‘You have to look up to him a lot’;
‘What are you feeding him?!’; ‘Absolute unity, put him on that rugby field’; “I think your son is the real bear here. So damn long.”
“Oh wow, he’s so tall. Happy 18th to him’; ‘Is it on something? Happy birthday, Marmaduke.”
Geordie walker Garrin French said: ‘What you fed, walk. 18 and already looking incredibly strong.”
Meanwhile, skier JT Holmes added: “I’ve definitely outgrown the windbreaker I gave him.”
The photos were vastly different from those shared a year earlier for Marmaduke’s 17th birthday.
In one of the photos shared before he turned 17, Marmaduke looked slightly taller than his mother, showing that he has had a huge growth spurt in the past year.
In the second, Marmaduke’s dark brown locks remained long and shaggy as he paired his dad with a shirt and vest combo.

While Marmaduke has largely stayed out of the spotlight, his older brother Jesse is slightly better known – he’s even been revealed as one of Tatler’s British Biblical Boys to Watch in 2022.
Jesse seemed determined to surpass his TV survival expert father when it comes to daredevil stunts and shocked fans in October 2021 when he performed a dangerous skydive from a bridge.
The stomach-churning difference was that the parachute was attached to him with hooks stuck into the skin of his back.
A gruesome video on social media showed Jesse moments before the jump, clenching his fists as four metal hooks were plunged into the flesh around his shoulder blades. It is not known whether anesthesia was involved in the process.

Despite the force generated by the stunt, his piercings did not tear loose and he landed safely after sliding through a valley in an unknown location.
The phenomenon is known as Suspension Base Jumping and was invented by Russian thrill-seeker Stanislav Aksenov, who joined Jesse for the jump.
It combines base jumping – parachuting from a stationary point – with Aksenov’s love for piercings. Jumps often result in blood draws.
The hooks are then removed and are said to leave small scars after the flesh has closed. Jesse described it as “the most intense experience,” adding, “I love that feeling of falling with nothing.”
His father Bear praised his performance but begged him not to repeat it.
He wrote: ‘You broke it! But never again. Now you are the world record holder for the youngest skin parachute jump ever, enjoy it.’ He added, “Not anymore!”
