Beaming Jeremy Renner is the picture of health as he’s seen for the FIRST time on set of Knives out 3 alongside fellow Marvel star Josh Brolin – a year after near-fatal snowplow accident
Jeremy Renner was the picture of health when he was first spotted on the set of the third Knives Out film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery in Essex this week.
The 53-year-old actor, who nearly died in a snowplow accident in January 2023, flashed a big smile in his first role since the incident, which reunited him with Marvel co-star Josh Brolin, 56.
For the outdoor scenes in a cemetery, Jeremy wore a navy blue jacket, paired with brown pants and a shirt and tie.
The actor couldn’t contain his giggles between takes as he joked around with Josh, who was dressed as a Catholic priest in a green and gold robe.
The duo appeared in several MCU films, with Jeremy as Avenger Hawkey and Josh as villain Thanos.

The actor was run over by a 14,300-pound car in Reno, Nevada (pictured in the hospital last year)
Also on the set of the highly anticipated film were Josh O’Connor, 34, Glenn Close, 77, and Kerry Washington, 47, but lead actor Daniel Craig, 56, was nowhere to be seen.
Jeremy plays a major role in the third film, in the second film he appeared in the form of a bottle of ‘Renning Hot’ habanero chili pepper sauce.
He didn’t take the joke seriously and director Rain Johnson was very happy to work with him.
Narrate Netflix’s Tudum: ‘Jeremy is a great actor who I’ve wanted to work with for a long time,’
“I was very relieved that he found the hot sauce thing funny! He plays a big part in this one, we’ll keep the sauce off-screen. Maybe we’ll sneak a few bottles onto the catering table.”
Last month, Jeremy described his near-fatal snowplow accident, saying he remembers his skull being “fractured” and showing his scars for the first time in a shirtless photo.
He spoke candidly about the terrifying scene in which he was run over by a 15,000-pound snowplow in Reno, Nevada, on January 1, 2023.
Narrate Men’s Health In a recent cover story: ‘It ripples, because there are four sections of tires with these metal tracks — it pulls like a tank. I remember every ripple.
The duo were clearly excited to be back on set together

“I remember my head cracking against the thing and it just pressing down on me — it’s exactly what you would think it would feel like. An immovable object and this crushing force, and something has to give.”
Renner also showed off his scars for the first time when he bravely posed for a shirtless photo, including a huge stain under his right shoulder blade.
Jeremy didn’t hold back with the gruesome details, but did express his gratitude, because somehow it could have been worse than it actually was.
He continued: ‘But thank God my skull didn’t give out completely. And then it just kept going. Waves, waves, waves, waves.
‘Broken cheekbone, broken eye socket, and then my eye bulged out from the crushing impact of being run over by the machine. I could see my left eyeball with my right eyeball. I was screaming for air.’
The star detailed how he tried to breathe as hard as he could, but nothing helped.
He said, “I couldn’t breathe. It’s hard to use your abs when you’ve got 14 broken ribs and a burst lung. I don’t know at the time — I just needed air. I was going through my body’s checklist and trying to figure it all out.
‘The first five minutes were about how I would breathe… I started to get really tired. My heart rate was going lower, lower, lower. Huooohohh, huooohohh, just this exhausting breathing for 45 minutes.
“But with the exhaustion, there was almost peace. The first responders came and I thought, I have to surrender my body to them, because I’m done. I’m not getting up. These aren’t just cramps. I’m not going to walk back down the driveway to see my family.”
He told Men’s Health that he had told himself at the time to “focus on his breathing” until emergency services arrived to save him.
