BBC’s Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt enjoy a cheeky pint and smoke after work

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt appeared in high spirits as they took a trip to their local pub in Manchester after work on Monday.

The presenters enjoyed a well-deserved pint, while smoking a cigarette outside the venue.

Charlie, 60, cut a casual figure in a khaki green jacket and matching T-shirt, teamed with black jeans.

Meanwhile, Naga, 48, bundled up in a black North Face jacket with jeans and knee-high boots.

The couple seemed relaxed as they chatted after a busy week helping raise money for Comic Relief.

Viewers joked that Ofcom will have a ‘field day’ of complaints after BBC breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was sworn live on air.

The annual telethon returned to the screens on Friday night and the announcers had to read a series of cheeky jokes from a card.

However, 48-year-old TV presenter Naga made a small mistake and ended up saying a rather rude word while telling a classic joke.

She said: ‘I went to the zoo the other day, there was only one dog. He was a Shih Tzu.

After telling the joke, her co-star Charlie Stayt immediately got the hilarious quip, but Naga was left confused.

He went on to tell Charlie that he didn’t get the joke, but, once he finally did, he laughed and repeated the word ‘Shih Tzu’.

Viewers quickly took to commenting to share their thoughts on the consequences of the innocent prank.

One viewer commented: “Oop kind of swear before 9pm Ofcom will have a field day with the complaints lmao.”

Another viewer said: ‘Naga doesn’t get the shih tzu joke.’

David Tennant, AJ Odudu, Joel Dommett, Zoe Ball and Paddy McGuinness were on hand to host the telethon.

During the show, viewers saw some hilarious short comedy skits from The Traitors, The Apprentice, Eastenders, and more.

Some celebrities, including Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Dornan, and Ed Sheeran, also appeared during the telethon.

The classic live-on-air Naga joke comes after BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie recently interrupted Naga and criticized his experience.

The hosts were caught arguing live again as the duo went head-to-head as they disagreed over how a six-foot-four jockey, Jack Andrews, would compare to his shorter competitors at Cheltenham.

Reading Jack’s testimony, he said, “He says, ‘If you’re short, sometimes they put you on top of the horse and they can get the better of you.'”

“Whereas if you’re a big boy, you can rough up a horse.”

He then told Naga, “Then the much smaller jockey would sit on top of the horse, while he can wrap his legs around the horse more.”

Naga then looked at Charlie, confused, before commenting, “I’m not sure it’s completely comfortable wrapping your legs around the girth of a horse as it gallops who knows how many miles per hour.”

She added: ‘When you’re galloping, you’re supposed to be on top of the horse. You can’t just sit back and jump around on the horse.

And while Naga was speaking, Charlie interrupted her and dug into her experience.

He said: ‘I think what I’ll do is take testimony from Jack Andrews, the jockey, about his experience in the area.’

He added another taunt by saying: ‘That’s all I’m saying. I think she probably knows what he’s talking about.
