BBC Breakfast viewers ‘demand their TV licences are refunded’ as they spot ‘terrible’ trick in middle of live show
BBC Breakfast viewers have voiced their grievances after spotting a “terrible” problem during a recent episode of the programme.
The programme resumed on Sunday with hosts Luxmy Gopal and Roger Johnson at the helm, with the duo discussing a number of global news stories.
But despite the selection of news items on the agenda, viewers could not suppress their displeasure when the presenters then introduced the technology component Click.
Roger announced: ‘Now it’s time for the latest news from this week’s edition of Click’, before the show aired a pre-recorded segment from Click showcasing an innovative new sustainable scooter.
While the segment was undoubtedly welcomed with open arms by tech and gadget fans, others were less than impressed with seeing the same segment replayed on their screens, with one even demanding that their licensing fees be “refunded.”

BBC Breakfast fans are expressing their feelings via X, formerly known as Twitter.
They wrote: ‘#bbcbreakfast This is the third time in two days I’ve seen this episode of #click… Can I get my TV licence back?’
‘Three times…that’s terrible.’
‘Oops…….no, don’t click again, it was yesterday.’
While another ridiculed the competitive nature of the show, while noting that he still enjoyed the segment. They shared: ‘I bet it’s not the full version either… I love watching Click but I could do without the reruns.’
This follows angry BBC Breakfast viewers who last week ‘turned off their TVs two minutes into the show’, criticising Sally Nugent and Jon Kay for ‘talking to viewers at home as if they were children’.
During the recent episode of the BBC talk show, disgruntled fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their displeasure about Sally, 53, and Jon, 54,’s presenting skills.
One angry viewer claimed they both spoke condescendingly to their audience, saying: ‘#bbcbreakfast with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent wouldn’t be out of place on CBeebies. They present it as if it’s news for young children.’

BBC viewers were not impressed with the repeated Click segment
While another viewer fumed: ‘#bbcbreakfast this is news for 5 year olds. Silly Sally using that stupid voice again. This is more like Play School Breakfast TV.’
Meanwhile, a third joined in the conversation: “Last 2 minutes on #bbcbreakfast before I had to switch off. Sally, what is her face with her sad, sympathetic voice and woke nonsense.
‘I just feel like throwing up. It’s Monday morning at 8am. Be more cheerful and positive. Jesus, it’s depressing, day after day. One sad story after another.’
Elsewhere on BBC Breakfast, two presenters were replaced by another presenter change. However, it was the ‘stunning’ Carol Kirkwood who stole the show in a figure-hugging blue dress.

The Monday-Wednesday programme’s presenters John Kay and Sally Nugent were nowhere to be seen last week as the morning show continued to make changes ahead of the Olympics.
Instead, Ben Thompson and Sarah Thompson took over and read the most important stories from the red couch.
But they were surprised by weather presenter Carol, 62, who looked stunning in a tight blue dress with half-length sleeves.
Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to compliment Carol’s look, raving: ‘Breathtaking in blue. Wow.’
They continued, “You look absolutely stunning,” “Bonnie, blue, beautiful Carol,” “Very pretty.”
