Last year, John suffered a broadcast accident when he slipped and skied off the side of a dry ski slope during a live broadcast.
Watson, a BBC News sports presenter, presented a BBC breakfast segment from Aberdeen where Team GB Winter Olympian Kirsty Muir first learned to ski.
At the beginning of the segment, Watson said he was “not going to pull any tricks” and just wanted to “come down in one piece,” but things soon went wrong.
Moments later, he lost his balance and then veered down the ramp into the AstroTurf safety area on the side of the ramp.

He was able to right himself and ski down the rest of the slope. When he reached the bottom, he joked, “I almost made it.” With a little detour.’
Talking to Watson from the studio, presenter Dan Walker said he and co-presenter Sally Nugent had been ‘a little worried’ when he went onto the AstroTurf, but was glad he had ‘brought it back’.
“Both you and me, Dan,” Watson agreed.
Walker’s co-host Sally Nugent praised Watson between the giggles, saying “Congratulations on being out on the dry ski slope, skiing, going off-piste, bringing us the sports news, interviewing.”
