BBC bosses confirm when The Traitors series three will end – and fans can expect a major change!
The BBC has confirmed when the new series of The Traitors will end with the finale, which will be a longer episode.
The show returned for its third series earlier this month and has introduced viewers to new contestants. The group was then split into Traitors and Believers at Ardross Castle in Scotland by host Claudia Winkleman, 52.
Three episodes have aired so far and there have already been some twists and turns for the contestants, including one just minutes after launch.
But the air date for the final has now been confirmed by the BBC and will air on January 24.
The episode is 70 minutes long, which is typically longer than the show’s weekly episodes.
The latest final airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8.30pm to 9.40pm.

The show returned for its third series earlier this month and has introduced viewers to new contestants. The group was then split into Traitors and Faithfuls by host Claudia Winkleman, 52
Earlier in the new series it was announced that the upcoming final will look different from previous years.
Claudia revealed at launch that players banned in the last episode will no longer reveal whether they are a traitor or a believer.
Throughout the series, the Faithfuls, unaware of their rival’s identity, try to find the Traitors, as they must remove them all from the game to win the prize money.
However, if there are still traitors in the game at the end of the game, they will take home the prize money.
Previously, players who were banished during the finals would immediately confirm whether they were a traitor or a believer, providing a possible clue to the remaining participants as to how many of each group could remain in the game.
However, this will not be the case for the newest participants due to the format change.
Claudia announced the news to the players during their first roundtable discussion, telling them, “Winning the money this year will require even more cleverness than ever. Listen carefully.’
She further shared, “Those who make it to the finals will no longer reveal their true identities when they leave. Instead, you will have to rely solely on your instincts to determine whether any traitors remain in the game.”

Last week, viewers witnessed the banishment of traitor Arman, who entered the castle with her younger sister Maia. She was the first traitor to be deposed after the Faithfuls expelled four of them.
Leaving the show, the 27-year-old financial researcher from London admitted that she had caused her own downfall by simply being too loud.
She confessed, “I had a strategy, but it went completely out of hand within the first few seconds.”
“My original strategy was that I wouldn’t be too loud, have a few conversations with different people and not make my opinions too public. My nature got the better of me and I ended up yapping at everyone.”
She added, “I think I was so excited to be there that my mouth wouldn’t stop running, which was probably my biggest downfall.”
Despite feeling like she could have played things differently, Armani said she enjoyed the entire experience.

She said: ‘The biggest highlight was being there with my sister! Also ‘the witch hunt’ – as I call it – the Round Table that got me out was incredible.’
The failed Traitor showed good spirits about her short stint on the series, adding: “That was a super move from everyone because they came out of nowhere.”
‘My little sister didn’t even support me! I can’t complain, I would have done exactly the same.’
The Traitors airs every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9pm on BBC One and can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
