Pamela Anderson has made a huge career change and wants to become the next Sir David Attenborough after launching her birdwatching channel EarthDay 365.

The channel, founded by the Baywatch star, 56, offers 2,500 hours of shows about nature.

The channel started on Pluto TV in the US two months ago and has now been picked up by streaming service Amazon Freevee.

Pamela said: ‘I wanted to create something for people who are more attached to nature. I just thought this was perfect alignment.

“I’m so happy that we’re getting such a positive response to EarthDay 365, allowing even more viewers to enjoy this incredibly beautiful and inspiring content for free.”

There will be specials such as Russell Crowe’s Turtle Odyssey, Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill film Sea Lions, plus Journey To Space with Patrick Stewart.

Pamela has long been an advocate for the environment and has put aside her bombshell image and shunned makeup and glamour.

She has made waves with her makeup-free complexion both on and off the red carpet.

She previously told Variety: “I finally feel like I can kind of show what I’m made of and not settle for ‘that’s all there is.’

“So this is the time to really embrace who I am. Myself.

‘I think you can live in a character a bit, and you start to believe what other people say about you.

‘I’ve finally been able to take all that away and I feel really free.

Earlier this month, Pamela was “delighted” when she announced her first cookbook, I Love You by Pamela Anderson: Recipes from the Heart, which will officially hit shelves on October 15.

Inspired by her rustic lifestyle on her family’s estate on Vancouver Island, the Baywatch alum’s 288-page cookbook features more than 80 “own and globally influenced” plant-based recipes, as well as tips on sustainable design and gardening.

Strangely enough, the Instagram slideshow Pamela teased her literary “labor of love” and showed off just one recipe: a peach pie.

Anderson’s cookbook originated as a housewarming gift in the form of “a box of recipe cards that said ‘I Love You'” for her sons — Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee — and their girlfriends.

‘It grew into a project in which all our favorite things come together. A lifestyle cookbook; nothing special,” the RE/DONE employee – who has 4.2 million followers on Instagram/Facebook – explained.

‘And entertaining with a modest kind of joy. It celebrates the magic of scenic settings where nature always sits proudly at the table. I can’t wait for it to be in all your homes, from our family to yours.”
