Bayern Munich ‘looking at transfer for Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga’ as Manuel Neuer sidelined for extended period
Bayern Munich have identified Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga as a potential transfer target, according to reports.
The Bavarian giants have not had much luck this summer with their endless pursuit of Harry Kane and their failure to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
And things got worse after it was announced that first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer would be sidelined with an injury for ‘up to ten weeks’.
As a result, Bayern need a replacement – at least on a temporary basis – given the departure of second-choice Yann Sommer earlier this summer.
According to Sports1the Bundesliga champions have sounded out Chelsea’s Kepa as a possible option to replace Neuer as he recovers from injury.

The outlet claims initial talks have taken place over a move for the Spaniard, who has just two years left in his West London deal.
The Bavarian side would ideally like to sign a loan deal with an option to buy, but remain to see if Chelsea are willing to let Kepa go.
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel would like a reunion with the 28-year-old, who he knows well from their time at Chelsea in the Premier League.
The outlet also claims that Bayern are also eyeing Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and Ajax’s Geronimo Rulli.
Bayern are desperate for a deal as their competitive season starts in just three days when they take on RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.
On Tuesday, reports showed that Neuer is “still unable to kick the ball properly” after suffering a broken leg earlier this year and is still on the road to recovery.
The Bayern stopper suffered a broken leg while skiing during the ‘extra holiday’ time allocated following his country’s elimination from the World Cup.

Mail Sport recently revealed that Juventus is ready to sell Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny due to interest from Bayern Munich.
The Polish shot-stopper was on the Bundesliga shortlist to replace Yann Sommer, who secured a move to Inter Milan.
