- Logan Paul continues his reign as United States Champion after a DQ win
- The 48,000 strong crowd was not happy that there was no definitive winner
- Kevin Owens didn’t take it easy with Paul, his body told a story towards the end!
WWE fans don’t like non-finishes on pay-per-view and it was no different in St. Petersburg, Florida for the Royal Rumble as Logan Paul managed to retain his United States Title.
The YouTube megastar retained his title thanks to Kevin Owens’ disqualification for using brass knuckles.
Of course, Paul was the one who brought them into the match in the first place, but Owens managed to wrestle them off and use them himself.
The 48,044 strong crowd voiced their displeasure at the end result, but Owens made sure they had something to cheer about as he looked to dismantle the champion.
The part-time boxer already had blood streaming down his face, apparently from his neck.
Paul worked on Owens for much of the match, making the most of his injured arm
Paul got the win, but at the end of the match he wasn’t exactly in good shape!
Owens kept the crowd happy by putting Paul through a table
The Canadian dragged Paul outside and powerbombed him through the announce table to appease a frustrated crowd.
During the match itself, Paul had plenty of action and made sure to take advantage of the challenger’s lingering injuries, despite having very visible stretch marks on his chest himself.
After an early attack, Paul recovered and slammed Owens’ injured hand into the ring post and took control of the match.
A failed 619 gave KO and opening, but Paul managed to stop him by pulling up his knees and denying a senton, and Paul managed to repeat that defense when KO attempted the same move from the top rope a few minutes later.
The result means Paul is still on course to go to WrestleMania with a title around his waist, all but guaranteeing him a featured match.
