Batman: Caped Crusader, House of the Dragon’s finale and more new TV this week

If you’re still hungover from all the project announcements at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, man, so are we. But! Hope is eternal, and so is the TV schedule, which is always geared toward the next new thing — and this week is no exception.

Personally, I’m most looking forward to this harvest House of the Dragon season 2 finale, a show that has really stepped up its already considerable game with its latest run. There is also Batman: Masked Crusaderwhich promises to bring back a gritty, vibrant Batman animation. And while it’s not on the list, the return (after a week’s absence with the Olympics airing in Japan) of My Hero Academy, which left us with a particularly tragic and sour feeling.

These are this week’s best new TV premieres and finales.

Season 2 has been one hell of a war, and it’s only just beginning (the civil war, that is; the season is coming to an end, as the subhed suggests). Suffice it to say, regardless of the balance of power between the various Targaryen factions at this point, this finale is going to give us bloodshed and dragons.
