The Bathurst champion’s friends were quick to send their regards

“Start them young,” he captioned a photo of her in front of the TV.

McLaughlin won the big race in 2019 after officials accused his Ford team of violating team order rules.

After the race, the controversy was the last thing on McLaughlin’s mind.

“I can’t believe I bloody won the Bathurst 1000,” McLaughlin said after previously breaking down in tears immediately after crossing the finish line.

It didn’t take long for McLaughlin to introduce baby Lucy to the magic of motorsport

“I put so much pressure on myself, our whole team put so much pressure on themselves to make this right.

“I’m so proud of everyone.”

The Kiwi moved to the US in 2020 to race IndyCars after dominating Supercars.
