A basketball player has died after collapsing on the court.
Greg Olbrich, 51, suffered cardiac arrest during a match at Morphett Vale Stadium, south of Adelaide, on Wednesday evening.
Olbrich had a successful basketball career playing for the Adelaide Giants and Southern Tigers.

His death comes just a week after he celebrated his 25th anniversary with his wife Jill, whom he called his “best friend, partner-in-crime, confidante and soulmate.”
He won the Woollacott Medal – recognizing ‘the fairest and most brilliant’ player – in the South Australian state competition.

Their son Lachlan is a promising youngster playing for the Illawarra Hawks.
