Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs gives major update on his cancer treatment, two months after diagnosis
Two months after Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs first revealed he was battling prostate cancer, he has undergone his final treatment for the disease.
Boggs shared the health update on social media, just over two months after telling the world about his upcoming battle with cancer.
Boggs, 66, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005, pulling back nearly 92 percent of the vote in his first year in office.
‘Praise God! Had my last treatment this morning, now it’s in the hands of God. I cannot thank my family, friends and my fans for your continued support during this difficult time. Also, my amazing team at Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute,” Boggs said on social media.
Many of his fans responded and gave him good wishes after knowing the update about his health.

Celebrities including Larry The Cable Guy and John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield also sent him well wishes via social media.
“God bless you brother. Prayers continue,” former MLB manager Clint Hurdle replied to Boggs.
Boggs is probably best known for his ten-year stint with the Boston Red Sox, ultimately signing with their archrival, the New York Yankees, before the start of the 1993 season.
After helping the Yankees win the World Series in 1996, Boggs spent the last two years of his career with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Boggs had his jersey retired by both the Red Sox and Rays and has been inducted into both teams’ Hall of Fames.
Boggs is widely considered one of the best third basemen of all time, alongside George Brett, Mike Schmidt and Brooks Robinson.
