Baseball fan goes viral after proposal goes VERY wrong at Dodger Stadium
At least she said yes! The baseball fan goes viral after running onto the field to propose to his girlfriend at Dodger Stadium… only to be CRUSHED in a brutal entrance by a security guard.
A romantic Los Angeles Dodgers fan got more than he bargained for when he tried to propose to his girlfriend on the field when a security guard punched him as he took a knee.
The incredible moment occurred during the Dodgers’ Opening Day clash with the Arizona Diamondbacks, an 8-2 victory for the home team, but one that will be remembered for much more than three James Outman runs.
In fact, the night will go down in history for a moment that occurred away from the plate, when an amateur took matters into their own hands.
In several videos filmed around the park, the fan jumps over the barriers at Dodger Stadium and runs into the outfield, before turning to face the crowd and, presumably, his girlfriend.
In a romantic gesture that has surely now ended in a stadium ban, he then proceeds to get down on one knee to make his proposal.
A Los Angeles Dodgers fan ran onto the field to propose, but got hit hard by security.
The security guard didn’t hold back and knocked the hat off the man’s head as he fell.
Then it was revealed that the woman -Ramona Saavedra- said YES to the daring proposal
But before he can get a response from the stands, a security guard charges out and slams the baseball fan to the ground, before his colleagues join him in grabbing the man and then dragging him away.
It’s still unclear whether or not he received a ‘yes’ for his troubles, but the moment quickly went viral on social media with fans going wild over the clip.
In one angle, even the players seem surprised by the severity of the safety guard’s hit, and Diamondbacks left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. even throws her hands to her head in response.
In the game itself, Los Angeles rallied from an early 2–0 deficit to defeat the Diamondbacks to secure an Opening Day win on home field advantage.
Mookie Betts, Freddie Freedman, Will Smith, Miguel Vargas and Miguel Rojas each scored one run, while center fielder Outman had three.
He was then joined by colleagues who handcuffed the man and then dragged him off the field.
A different angle saw players react in amazement as the fan was tackled to the ground.
Celebrity fans like Jason Bateman attended the Opening Day game on Thursday.
